Trevor, I have a question for you, I have a "drop foot' it isn't there until my leg or foot gets tired and then it becomes aparant. I use an AFO device, would that work with these?

Question: I am interested in leaving bedside for homehealth as an RN. Lots of charting at bedside. Is HH charting significantly more than bedside, or is just simply different?

Mine is the best job I've ever had... I am supported by my supervisors and coworkers...no question is too stupid I am paid above average for our community I have unlimited supplies for my clients I have extreme schedule flexibility I have a full schedule (almost) every week We have weekly meetings to make sure we are all full and covering clients if someone is on vacation or sharing clients so everyone is equal We have team meetings with the entire company (all disciplines) to help us play team building games or listen to educational presentations, etc We have monthly outings (concerts, picnics, bowling, etc) to interact with our coworkers in a social way We are treated as professional providers no matter what the discipline is and we are all tagged on relevant email...nothing is isolated to individual disciplines...if you see the client for PT and nursing or speech is also in...we are all included in communications We rally to cover a schedule if someone calls out We have a fantastic EMR and timeclock/ texting app...all encrypted We are supplied with all necessary equipment We have AAA We get bonuses We get paid to document Get employer surveys on what needs improved Coworkers surveys for annual reviews I used to work in a brick and mortar clinic...patients don't show and don't call out, coworkers STEAL your patient if theirs canceled and they have seniority (we didn't get paid for the 45 minutes that a pt didn't show up, coworkers had career ambitions that exceeded their titles and the company and ran over others to achieve them, scandalous relationships between certain people and the company managers and owners, back stabbing, spying, lying, HOSTILE work environment...I almost quit doing what I love I was referred to a specific HH agency in our community...hard to get a job there because everyone wants to work there and I know why...I'll be there until retirement

If you work for multiple agencies then you know each agency has their own way of determining how many visits a patient can receive. Some agencies will want to keep patients on services for a long time and some agencies will try to discharge them as quickly as possible. Most agencies fall somewhere in the middle but dealing with this issue is by far the most frustrating part of working in home health.

How about when you have your list of patients ready to call (in the order you'd like to see them) and the first patient you call doesn't answer the phone! So then how can you proceed to call patient #2 and so on, when patient #1 isn't confirmed! This wrecks your evening for sure (yes, evening).

Hello, awesome video. Could you perhaps clarify how to compute your pay rate for different types of visits using HH's point system? Is there a math calculation involved with this? I hear folks discussing 1, 2, and 2.5 points. What does this mean, exactly? Do you have any resources that you could share?

actually I have an unrelated question, do you have a walker you would recommend for a patient with Parkinsons, my husband in 6'1 and has had Parkinson for over 10 years, he is 65 now, sometimes the drugs work but lately having more off times, he uses a standard walker but doesn't like the rolator, he has balance issues and freezes

I just got 2 pairs. This is an Amazing shoe for someone with a medium bunion & a lot of foot & gait problems. My orthotics fitted perfectly. The shoe sole is super RIGID & great comfort for walking. Putting it one was a breeze too. I just went for a 1 hour walk and had no troubles whatsoever with my bunion! Just make sure you order the double EE size if you have wider feet!
