@@misled_perceptions No One's There and Got The Life are my favorite Korn songs. On the way to this show, me and my family talked about the songs we wanted to hear. I said the number one song I wanted to hear was No One's There. I was like they'll never play it through. So I was in complete shock when they did lol.

CSX SD40s will occasionally make it onto an oil train or potash train on the CP but always the last unit. Here you caught it strutting ahead of all that new power Plus its in front of some former Wisconsin Central and SP cars a fine mix

70 cars that look brand new I wonder if they were coming from a Trinity Industries plant. as a loaded train would probably have two units. There is a place in Kansas with several hundred of these stored in a field that possibly have never been used. The good folks in Texas figured out how to use regular sand with some slight modifications so very little Wisconsin production goes there. anymore. Nice run by as they do look sharp when they're brand new

There is an engine easy to forget. I know the last car is carbon black but if this is about 10 years old that's old school way of shipping Frac sand. None of the companies had big lease fleets so UP patched up umpteen old cement hoppers from. CNW. DRGW. MP. MKT. UP

Add some relatively thick fog from the first unit trying to hide the historical one I'm glad you took the approching photo a nice layer affect with the fog and smoke

@KoRnRulZ 14 күн бұрын
@@paulbergen9114 Thank you and yeah that SD70M was trying it's impersonation of a Steam locomotive lol. Fog was so bad that day and didn't lift until the afternoon hours. A fair amount of wrecks that day. Especially since the stop lights decided to stop working on Southend (combined with that extreme fog).

The gates of the city to hold back all the foamers? Two of those weird ballast trains. These just never make it to Wisconsin but we do get those conveyor belt connection ones on occasion. Nice steady runby

Is that a cloth flag in the window? I've seen pictures of this unit several times but I don't remember a sticker there. When I was driving bus there were no ads on any side windows as it could obscure visibility specifically at night

The Northwestern had a modest group of these and for some reason wound up being on a train whose initials sounded like abracadabra and they looked magical bouncing along some of the rougher track in Central Wisconsin. A month or so ago someone on YT had footage of the former UP but delivered lettered MoPac C36-7s being scrapped in Romania I'm shocked they lasted that long

@@mopac8233 I highly doubt the DeSoto will ever have consistent traffic again. Especially with how low the traffic is on the Hoxie. Then factor in UP's wishy-washy nature on the value of the DeSoto Sub.

Nice old catch, and is this the crossing where 2 teens got hit by a train?
@KoRnRulZ
@KoRnRulZ 21 күн бұрын
@@TheRailwayProductions Yes, the story goes in the 60s/70s a school bus was hit by a MOPAC train and the kids were all killed. So if you go to this "abandon" line between 11pm-12am (Aka the time Amtrak #21 comes screaming around a blind curve). Turn off your motor and put it in neutral while sitting on the crossing. The spirits of the kids will push you car safety and leave hand prints. That stupid ghost story cost those highschool girls their lives and left the other with life long disabilities. Thankfully if someone doesn't know how to find this crossing, they probably never will. It's not easy to get to unless you know the area good. So that's probably saved a lot of lives to be honest.
