Hello @rajjeg296, due to both brands using the same mobile app and very similar OS, it is very difficult to see the differences. However you may notice product variations; in the UK SPRO has a 4MP Active Deterrence Lite which the other brand you mentioned does not currently have an equivalent to.

Hello @Nico-ci9qb, we do not recommend adding analogue cameras to an IP system. We are aware that there are encoders that aim to change an analogue signal to IP but this is not something we would recommend doing.

Hi @nassarali9780, You can change the time by going into main menu -> System -> Date & Time. Once you have adjusted the time make sure you press the save next to time zone before pressing apply. Alternatively, to make your recorder automatically follow the clocks changing you will need to turn on DST in this menu. The settings to use are as follows: Type: Week Start Time - March - Last Week - Sunday - 01:00 End Time - October - Last Week - Sunday - 02:00 We are looking to create a video tutorial on this very subject, please stay tuned for future videos here on SPRO CCTV.

Do these have the option of infrared? Are they British made, designed and manufactured? Are these available in kit form, including 4x cameras, cables, recorder, fixing kits etc?

Hi @yojomojo6262, these cameras have ColourNight 2.0 technology so can be configured to work with IR only. SPRO is a British brand so we have a lot of say in the product design here but the products are manufactured in the far east. We do not sell directly to the general public but there are companies that sell our products, it would be down to these companies if they were to be able to be sold in kit form. You should be able to find a list of these companies by using a google search. Hope this helps.

Hi @Graemkeen, the first screen you see on the video is the very first screen you should come across when powering on your NVR for the very first time. The only other way to access this is by defaulting your recorder and powering on the first time afterwards. Hello @ryanmason491, we do not recommend using Baluns with a POC recorder. Although it may seem like it's working, Baluns will draw an electric current from the DVR and could cause a fire. Ordinarily a POC camera with a POC enabled DVR being run over coaxial cable would be fine if they were from the same manufacturer. Hope this helps.

Hi, do you specifically want a website or will an app be ok? There are many apps that will allow you to pull in the feed from different CCTV sites. If you are happy to switch between sites then the DMSS app that is recommended with SPRO products will work. If you are looking for one that you can view different cameras from different sites at the same time/on the same screen then that will be a bit more specialised and you will probably have to pay for that.

Hello @lifeofamomph, when you say warped, do you mean stretched on both sides? This most probably has something to do with the aspect ratio settings on the recorder. Hello @lifeofamomph, thanks for confirming. Does the live view also look stretched when viewing from your phone, particularly when viewing it landscape? It could be the phone trying to maximise the screen size so it pulls the images to the corners. When you hold your phone normally in live view does it look different?

Hello @kerryskardon5664, we're sorry to hear that your Uncle is having issues with the app. Could you ask him if he is exporting from the app itself? If so the file will be saved in the pictures folder of the android phone as default. If your uncle is saving directly from the recorder we would recommend he switched to the app so that the file is saved in a 'playable' format. Hope this helps. We were thinking that a camera sitting outside the grilling area could detect movement and trigger a grill to start warming up...

Hello Nancy, Any footage that a camera records on an SPRO system cannot be edited directly for security purposes. If you wanted to edit footage then this will need to be copied from the recorder and edited elsewhere, but the recording on the NVR/DVR will remain unedited.

Hi Billy, Could you advise what you are using to detect humans and vehicles on your recorder, is it SMD, motion or IVS? To turn the buzzer on you will need to go into the appropriate menu and select buzzer. For example it is motion detection for channel 1 you will need to turn it on in there. Turning the notifications off on DMSS is done by going into the app and then device. Click on the 3 dots on the right hand side and go to device details. Go to multichannel alarm subscription and turn it off. Hope this helps.

Hi Does the white led come on even if the say the camera has good light like a street lamp to help create the colour image as I like the idea of it coming on with motion as a deterant but one of my cameras is facing a street light and it still records but the white led doesn't trigger ?

Hi, the phone app is called DMSS and the PC application is called Smart PSS lite. If you are getting a message that says the account has been locked it means there have been too many login attempts with the wrong password. You will need to reboot the recorder to unlock it and try the correct password again once it boots up.

Hi thanks for reply i have both rebooted then factory reset the nvr put in new password but once i am on my recorder when i connect the cameras it is there on live where i should have my 4 x camera feeds i have camera ip addresses i add my newly instated password and then account locked appears on each feed do i need to reset the cameras and if so can i do this remotely or do i need to get to camera any help with this is greatly appreciated

@@johnmcdonald6550 The cameras have passwords of their own, most likely this would have been the same password as the recorder itself before it was defaulted. Unfortunately, the cameras will need to be defaulted if you do not know the password. I would suggest getting in touch with your installer for this.

Hi Raj, The VI-STN04 can be added to our recorders as an IP camera so it can be viewed and record footage. Hi Neil, There are two possible reasons you're unable to see the illumination settings. One being that the recorder has old firmware or the cameras themselves are not offering the option. Hi, Just having the option to turn the light on or off may reveal that your camera isn't a smart dual illumination camera. In previous models, there were cameras that had an LED light but no infrared. It may be that you have one of these models.
