Wooh 6 a.m. is early. Maybe you should start it at little later like 8 a.m. I know it's better to get it out of the way early but some people simply aren't morning people especially on their off day. I think it's a great idea. I wish I were closer to you I would have showed up.

I do freelance/contract work, but I’ve been trying to work on candle business. All of my supplies are in my garage 🤦🏽‍♀️. I registered the candle business but haven’t been motivated to make candles. Your video was definitely encouraging.

I was let go during the pandemic when I was working in healthcare. I am now working as a security guard, making good money, and having job stability.

Its seems like God is forcing all of us to pause, listen, reflect, pivot and start over. In 2024, no one I speak to is where they thought they would be. Its interesting. I back in school in my 30s, back at my parents home, working part time and just going with the flow. I'm trusting we are all going thru it for a reason that will make sense later on.

I got laid off a few weeks ago, i felt it coming it was a relaxed wfh job that paid $750 a week. Knowing I’m psychic I used the last few months before being told the news to start my own business. Once it happened my business was already prepped to start making money. Im barely starting and have a lot more to set up bout in my first week i made $400. 2nd week $700. Im tryna convince myself to not see this as a failure bc in my mind my job paid $750 and i was getting by so if my business is paying less i will have to abort it and go get another regular job That was last week me. This week knows im right where im supposed to be and its only up from here.

They're not going to come out and just day it because they dont want you all to quit before they're ready to fire you. Would have pissed me off they let us work an entire shift then do it.

Some advice, alway have an outside business or always be interviewing- no matter how much you make and/or how much you think you are needed. My wife and i have an IT consulting business. When we met she was selling computer hardware to schools and hospitals. She worked for these 3 guys from India- they would rip her off on commissions as she was one of two sales persons (the highest in sales)she did all the sales and they would reap the benefits. She was in debt, owing the IRS (she was 1099), state and school loans. I encouraged her to start a business after we got married (i was a fixed income and derivatives trader on wall street) i saw she was one outstanding sales womn mixed with elegance - i knew she would be successful- in the beginning she did the sales and i financed the operations, read all the contracts and accounting. Years later with 40+ employees, with EBITDA of ~30mm , those years are far behind the young womn who used to pick up spear change from the ground of my apartment 😅. Im still in the financial industry, i just over see the books and jump in with legal matters- she runs it full time. Interestingly enough, i was layed off once (i found another job in 3 weeks 😅 because i was always interviewing, plus i was teaching college on the side - i got a severance and a signon bonus), but we just laughed initially as i didn't even need to work due to the very business i encouraged her to start. Funny thing is, all my direct reports know i have an outside business and i encourage them to do the same- my managers know i do as i have to disclose it- they have great respect for me and tread lightly😅.

All these jobs are being replaced by AI. If you want job security, it’s not in sitting in an office looking at a computer screen, it’s out there learning a trade and using your hands. AI can’t replace plumbers, AC&R techs, sanitation workers, landscapers…

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But trust me when I tell you, this experience will make you never have loyalty to another employer again. God has a way of letting the chips fall so that you become much greater. He will provide for you, but remember that we are extensions of Our Father, so the same creativity He has, we also possess. When things like this happen, it can either be a lesson that we must learn, karma that we must reap, or an elevation that must take place so that the same prayers we've prayed get answered. File for unemployment right away, and if you live on your own...you can get Rental Assistance in your state. Trust me when I tell you that GOD WILL take care of you during your transition....I promise you He will. We never asked to be here, we are here under His agreement. So it is His duty and his joy as Our Father to always provide.

It’s great that you’re coming up w/ a plan. I’ve been there. I would create an honest budget & keep what makes sense. I like budgeting bcuz it puts me in control. I tell my money what to do vs. vice versa. I use to spend money like I was moving bricks & couldn’t tell you where it went 😂. Ways I save money: Shopping saving apps like iBotta, Rakuten, Retail Me Not, Receipt Hog, Fetch, Honey, Coupons, Capital One Shopping & Krazy Coupon Lady. Also, w/ a Cash App Card, they have offers too on their app. Content on KZbin: I watch frugal channels like “Under The Median”. I also watch self maintenance videos. They’ve helped me do my own nails, hair & eyebrows. HYSA: I put my money in high yield savings accounts to earn free money on my money just for sitting there. Good luck on your journey!

Congratulations on your decision to be in the drivers seat. I was laid off by my job because the office closed, due to the lack of employees coming into the office after covid. There was no need to keep that piece of real estate. A complete 12 months later, I was rehired to run 3 other sites and I was just about to release a video about it all on my channel. I never did because it showed me in the old office giving lots of transparency to my countdown leading to my last moments. I felt whoa this may not be a good idea. I just gad a KZbin fam member go live from work. Daid nothing bad about the job. He just recorded on the premises. I felt God was sending a message like why did he reveal it at that moment. I was sharing a lot, my struggle with identity theft and not getting any financial assistance from the state for months. I also talked about not finding work. But not wanting to talk about things like getting unemployment for fear of judgment was a big concern too. I wanted work from home like everyone else was, but not be home looking for work 🤷🏽‍♀️. It was a lot. But when I was rehired by the company I just said wow it really is what n when God decides. I wish my channel would have been big enough where I could have worked for myself and become a full-time KZbinr, but it isn't, so thank God I'm back to work. It's hard, but nothing good that will last, comes easy. So be strong 💪🏽 hang in there and do ya thing. Thanks for allowing me to purge. Sorry it was so much, but you asked 🤭😆. Not sure if this is your first layoff but the first one is always tough. You really understand how cut throat corporate is. They only care about the bottom line and their inner inner circle. Things seem unclear but trust and believe you will gain clarity. Good luck to you.

This was a difficult watch but it made me realize nothing is stable! So I have to start planning in the event anything like this happens to me! Because we all think “this will never happen to me” until it reaches your front door! Stay strong 💪🏿

I understand what you're going through. Its a real thing. What you feel you lost is control! And yes it'll make you feel less fearful to go after the things you've been wanting to do cus you feel time isnt on your side. Thats also survivors mode.
