The smoothness and strength of this 3D printing material is excellent - often you can't even see the layer lines!

Onyx is a Nylon based filament that contains carbon fibre. It can be reinforced with continuous fibres like Kevlar, fibreglass and carbon fibre to achieve a better strength to weight ratios than aluminium! Leave a comment with your questions

Fun fact: that ejector drill sprays coolant out of the tips, forcing the swarf backward through the centre of the tool. It's a really smart way of dealing with swarf, and it would have been impossible to manufacture without 3D printing!

I used to think 3D printers were mostly used for DnD miniatures, but so much more is possible with industrial 3D printers.

I can see how the design freedom possible with 3D printing would be incredibly helpful for manufacturing. I feel like it would mesh well with a lot of principals of Lean Six Sigma/Operational Excellence when it comes to precision and efficiency.

This video makes the metal 3D printing process look really easy. The time and cost savings could help loads of businesses afford and obtain specialist or custom parts.

Wow! I like to closely monitor the additive manufacturing industry, but I haven't seen anyone use this method to manufacture tooling. I can't believe how far 3D Printing has come over the years - it must be a great alternative to CNC machining depending on the application.
@mark3duk8622 күн бұрын
CNC machining is great for mass production for sure, but 3D printing is becoming more and more efficient for low volume manufacturing. Thanks for watching 👍

Off the top of my head, I don't know of anyone else who has 3D printed cutting tools like this. Guhring UK are definitely the first in the world to have done it!
