Pretty cool to see 3d printing projects like this making money in a real business. Wish I had one of those metal printers

This is an excellent video, has anyone else 3D printed tools like this? I've seen these 3D printed tools in person and they're really interesting.

Off the top of my head, I don't know of anyone else who has 3D printed cutting tools like this. Guhring UK are definitely the first in the world to have done it!

I can see how the design freedom possible with 3D printing would be incredibly helpful for manufacturing. I feel like it would mesh well with a lot of principals of Lean Six Sigma/Operational Excellence when it comes to precision and efficiency.

I used to think 3D printers were mostly used for DnD miniatures, but so much more is possible with industrial 3D printers.

Nice to see it helping businesses in the UK too, the manufacturing sector could use machines like this that don't need operators

Glad you enjoyed it - a lot of manufacturing businesses in the UK are starting to 3D print. For low volume production is just smarter!

Wow! I like to closely monitor the additive manufacturing industry, but I haven't seen anyone use this method to manufacture tooling. I can't believe how far 3D Printing has come over the years - it must be a great alternative to CNC machining depending on the application.

CNC machining is great for mass production for sure, but 3D printing is becoming more and more efficient for low volume manufacturing. Thanks for watching 👍
