Can you make that for GRBL controller machines?
@kostix777
@kostix777 4 ай бұрын
I havent really worked with GRBL before so I dont know, but maybe if it allows enough amount of axis controlled simultaneosly.. im using the X, Z, B and C axis for this.. the 2 motors holding the hex cups are driven with 2 separate drivers by the same signal from the B axis, and the rotating wrench is the C axis. The control of it all is written in a mach 3 vb macro file.

I do the same thing using my wife's vinyl cutter! For more complex shapes sometimes the adhesive gets stuck on the blade and tears the shapes, I find a thin film of grease on the tip helps a lot

Nice .. i plan to make something similar and this was a good mechanism .. I will add actual change of cap and collet in same place with some actuators .. How dontou control the torque of open and close?
@kostix777
@kostix777 Жыл бұрын
The tightening and releasing is basically done by powering the nut rotating motors and let them skip.. while they are rotating/skipping cause of the tension, it kinda works like a low power impact screwdriver.. with every skip it is tightening a little bit more, and it has proven to be enough to at least hold small diameter endmills, like 3 or 4mm.. I didnt really try with thicker, but it probably will work too.

@@kostix777 thanks for the info, I will try using the cheap drill machines as mechanism which also has torque control in them ..

What were your 707's issues before you fixed it, and what did you do to fix them? I have a 707 which I thought was dead and gone, but I bought a new power adapter on eBay which was as close as I could come to the original, and I soldered an almost entirely broken wire really close to the batteries. Then I fixed the metal "strip" - sorry, I don't know the name of the part, but it's the flat metal thing actually holding the batteries, as it was rather loose, and just a tad too bent on one end. So now, all the sounds work perfectly, but I am not able to program it! As soon as I try to, the 707 starts doing all sorts of weird things, lights suddenly turns on on whichever wrong places, it does nothing of what I want it to do, and is just 100% uncooperative. Sometimes, the entire grid fills up (I've never managed to place anything on the grid myself so far), and if I try to play it, the machine does what it can to kill my eardrums, as it's playing all the sounds simultaneously (reminds me all too much of this human drummer I once had to get rid of). Very annoying. I can use it with my BSP, or any other sequencer, but I would totally prefer it to work as it should... Any tips on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated, however, please don't tell me to "just give it to the repair man", as I have no idea how to find a person that can help me fix it here in Norway... That said, your Tr-707 sounds great! I hope to be able to play mine like you do.

Hey buddy! This was a while ago, around 4 years ago or so.. so I dont have everything very fresh and i dont have the synth as it was a repair job for a customer.., but all the needed information to do it is in the service manual. I believe it can only be done on the revision 3. I did it using an STM32 microcontroller which received MIDI, formatted the data in proper way, and send it to the prophet by a serial interface. Look for information about the "scratchpad" that stores all the current keyboard state.. the idea is to write into that memory thru the digital interface that the rev 3 provides.
@kostix777

Otherwise, I suggest you to look into some commercial option to add midi to the P5. This is not a very beginner friendly project.
