What a beaut. Love the effort in the video editing. If you need a ridding partner let me know. Your bike sounds a bit rich.. Might have to check on your carb. I might be wrong.. Is it fuel injected? Epic video. Looking forward to the rest. Keep it up champ.

Thanks for another great video! I wonder whether every viewer realises how much effort goes into all those "ride-pasts" you do: If you do, you can stop reading now. Once you decide on a good spot, you have to stop, unpack and set up your expensive video camera and tripod etc, in a secure area. I presume you then ride into the direction from which you've just come, do a u-turn and ride past your video equipment. You then have to turn around and stop to collect your video equipment again. I presume you then perhaps check if the video footage was successful. If not, then take 2 😅 You then have to pack your video equipment back into a dust-free, well damped (shock-free) area and proceed ahead, only to repeat this process several more times en route. Thank you!

Hi Dave, Joh this comment really is appreciated ! I really do put a lot of effort into the filming ! I absolutely enjoy it though, I am still getting better at my craft ! Literally my setup is changing every time I travel. Which is tedious but that is ultimately I improve my setup. I have gotten really good at the drive by setup. Normally takes around 7-10 mins ... But yeah don't regret or don't like doing the drive byes ... personally they are my favorite shots. Gives a better felling of where I riding through. Because the landscapes have honestly just been breath taking ! GoPro's are really horrible at NOT showing it ... I always feel the GoPro captures maybe 10-20% of the actual beauty of a scene. Thank you for supporting the channel I really do appreciate it until the next video ! Stay safe and see you there

Hey Gean, Thanks so much for tuning in to the channel! Really appreciate it. For finding places to stay, I mostly use Booking.com - their map feature is super handy. I also use Lekker Slaap sometimes. For planning routes, I work with Google My Maps (different from regular Google Maps, which had me confused at first, too!). I use My Maps to build the tracks, but I also have Tracks4Africa downloaded on my phone. I bought it a while back for around R260, and it shows where a lot of the dirt tracks are. When I'm scouting tracks, I turn on the satellite view in Google My Maps. It's amazing how many unmarked dirt roads are out there! Just keep in mind, some tracks may lead to private property, so you might have to skip those. It’s a bit of a hit-and-miss process, but hey-that’s part of the adventure!

Hi Paul, See you commented on a couple videos, I'm gonna reply kind of to all of them here if that's all good. Firstly thank you for watching the channel I really appreciate it Then I have 3 straps with me, plus a 5m webbing strap for towing etc ... Great piece of kit. I love ratchet straps just really happy with the straps i have at the moment. Then bike actually weighs about 170 kg. I'm busy replacing the front end which also shed about 5-10 kgs ... so bike feels nice and light. The whole reason why I took the XT, what a weapon ! Water - I have got a 2L bladder in my back pack Fuel bladder - thing got stolen High vis clothing, something I really have thought about. just already have a lot kit ( airbagvest ). So then when adding another layer it just really gets much. Generally stick to riding in the day if it is in my control. Also why I have Aux lights and the orange light cover. Also added an additional brake light at the rear to improve visibility In terms of the mic, the air vents are a bit tight, but I use the wind curtain to kind of snug the cable in place, but still playing around with my setup. Literally doing this the whole time. always trying to improve the setup. I had sponge grips on my 800gs that I had, great and comfy, just really didn't like them when they got wet. Also replaced the grips at some point with what a local bike shop had. But yeah generally don't struggle with gripping the bars. Did a lot mountain biking and lot of downhills. Taught myself not to death grip there. But yeah always open to suggestions ! so keep them coming ! Normally hydrate when I get off the bike to setup the drone and camera for drive byes. Normally finish two liters for the day. But thank you for concerning over it. It is a very important factor. Sand riding is actually something that I enjoy, also feel that as soon as you have that mindset change it really helps. Because when you get it right then it literally feels like magic. It is such an strange sensation to float on the sand ... really lovit ! Again thx for watching the channel, I'm a bit stuck at the moment so hence the pause in uploads but hopefully this weekend I will be rolling again. Really excited for the next episode, really going into a beautiful part of country

Allo mate. The last vid was great! Doin it your way, awsome. One thought though? Get ya self a 20foot or 6.5m ratchet strap? Ok if your out in the sticks, you can use the strap around a tree, rock etc to hold an lift your bike while sorting wheels etc out. Don’t want a 200kg bike landing on you out there. Water carrier?? Fuel bladder’s?? Where are they?? If nothing else, you have fuel an water! You’ll only do either or both once! God forbid it may cost your life if you don’t.!!❤❤ Great call on the rear tube too, 17 won’t go on 21 inch. Can get away with a 19inch to 21, an max of 40km on the move. But that’s it.! Have a think about a reflective ORANGE VEST/Pants. If your stuck out at night on rds etc , we’ll, you know. Plus it’s a world wide safety coloured vests clothing etc. Ride safe, ride we’ll, ride lucky mate.❤❤💎💎🏍️🏍️🎃🎃🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

Dude That tire selection is sketchy Put your extra tubes in Ziploc bags and tape them closed with ducktape - you'll thank yourself later Chuck that chain lube and get silicon spray - good for 10 000 uses from chain to electrical connections to boots Scotch guard your riding gear Take a small plastic bottle and fill it with car polish and clean your visor with it - keeps you vison 20/20 even in the heaviest rain and bugs don't stick like glue Just my 2c I'll enjoy your tour of this beautiful country 🎉🎉🎉

Woah bro ! Thx for the advice ! Will put my tubes in a ziploc bag and tape it ... have actually wondering about that. Especially with everything being shaken soooooo much ! The Chain Lube is almost done, need to replace it anyway... Silicone Spray is pretty amazing ! Will also give the car polish trick a go. Been struggling with the visor getting dusty and that sucks especially when the sun is hitting from the front
