Alexa reached out to FB and asked to do a collab of this song. They agreed. She lives in S Korea (she's from the US, but works in K-Pop). Layne arranged, she recorded/filmed herself and sent it to them, Eli inserted her into the video. She (or her team) did the choreography and the guys did their best, learning it from an i-phone.

As you like new covers of older songs, I'd suggest Home Free's rendition of "Delta Dawn" with Brooke Eden. They also have a few videos of medleys: "The Hunter Hayes Medley", "Alabama Sampler", "Country Fried Pop Medley" and - for a laugh "The Butts Medley".

This is actually the 3rd video of this song (1st - the Sing Off; 2nd & 3rd videos). Tim (bass) is from southeast Texas; Austin (reddish beard) - south Georgia; Chance - Alabama; both Rob (glasses) & Adam Rupp (beatboxer) are from Minnesota. 3 of them (Tim, Austin & Chance) are song writers so there are lots of originals & live (fancam) videos too!

Regarding Seven Nation Army - you might like to know that Warriors is considered the 1st in their apocalyptic series. 2nd is Aerosmith’s Dream On. And 3rd is Seven Nation Army. I really love what they did with the series. Dream On seems to be about not giving up while looking back on what has happened (fans see that as the group losing Earl & J to the Zombie Hordes and gaining Cesar & Omar). Then comes Seven Nation Army which feels as if they have found the wherewithal to determinedly fight on again (after losing Omar and picking up Anthony). And YES! You really want to watch it! It is a rather unexpected version. They really make it their own!

This version of Hellfire is absolutely captivating, evil, mesmerizing. The 3 tenors, Eli, J None, Cesar are each a facet of Frollo's personality with J None is praying to Maria to protect him, Eli is very black and white - be mine or burn, Cesar is blaming God.
@bjspeck433717 күн бұрын
This was 4 yrs or more ago. Earl Elkins was an original member from middle and high school (out of school in 1997) and recently he left the group for personal reasons. The black guy is J None (currently in the US Navy for 5 yrs, 1.5 yrs to go). He still comes back when he has some leave to do some videos with VoicePlay - check out Thriller, Valhalla Calling, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Friends on the Other Side, Nothing Else Matters, In the Air Tonight, Hellfire, Zat U Santa Claus? all with J None in these.

Always here for more VoicePlay (or Geoff's solo work). Thanks for this reaction to an older one. This was the first appearance of "VioLayne." In VoicePlay's 25+ year history, VioLayne has made three appearances. Layne studied classical violin beginning at age 4 (for 11 years, I think). At the time of this video, J. None was a permanent member of the group, rather than the featured guest he is nowadays when he can get military leave to sing with VP. Omar Cardona never has been a permanent member of VoicePlay. Omar is always listed as a featured guest when he sings with them, which he does frequently.
@hwyla44167 күн бұрын
Additionally, this is back when Earl was still high tenor. So there are two tenors here (with Eli) plus J as baritone. VoicePlay often has Omar guest when they want more tenor even though Cesar can sing tenor, technically he is often singing the baritone part - it all depends on how they arrange the song. There are times when VoicePlay makes the song into 3 tenor parts.

Nope he's just letting himself go grey...I think he's ridiculously gorgeous! I LOVE this which he arranged, did all the instrumentals/drums, etc, and the videography and production! The level of his talent is mindblowing, and this just and example of how freakin creative he is to do this song like this! Thunder of the Bells really. He does it like a war anthem!

The big guy is earl Elkins and the black guy is j none you’ve probably seen at least j before. He joined the marines as a singer and comes back when he’s o leave he still has a year or two before his enlistment up. We love violayne playing violin he rarely does. He did on nothing else matters and the lion sleeps tonight.
@vdoyne24 күн бұрын
🙂 Note: J. sings for the Navy (rather than marines) and is currently stationed in DC since his latest promotion. I agree...watching Layne play the violin is a joy, as it is when he sings for us.

Most men get so much more interesting when their beard and hair turns grey 😅🤷🏻♀️ Maybe I feel like this cause I'm 41 too 🤣 I know my husband for 17years now and as he got more and more grey streaks, it made him look even more sexy (for me at least 🤷🏻♀️) and I think Geoff is the same phenomenon 😂 This song is EPIC ❤ Geoff's covers are always so well arranged, his voice is superbe (like always), but the instrumentals in this one were next level 😱👏🏻 I'm not much into all theses normal cheesy Christmas songs, but this one... good Lord... I'm listening to it on repeat since it dropped (literally 😂) 👍🏻

Thanks for this reaction to Geoff's epic Christmas release. I have run out of superlatives! A five octave vocal range is a powerful thing. I enjoy the way Geoff arranges music nearly as much as his vocals. Judging by his album art, the Geoffquakes did some damage!
