When Covid shut the world down and they had to stop touring, the focused their attention on their studio skills. They were already outstanding, with brilliant composition and harmonies, but their technical work is off the charts. Try something a little older, when Earl was still with them.... I'd start with True Colors. Trust me!

Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. Would you please do a reaction to to Voice Plays cover of Halo the theme song from the Halo video game. The composer of the music said that Voice Plays cover is better than his. He loved it. Also a medley of Queen songs called Queen In 5 Minutes. They knock them out of the ball park.

I never truly got into Skyrim, I LOVED Oblivion back in the day, and played so much of that, but this is one of my favourite songs Voice Play did for sure.

Geoff reveals his sense of humour often both in the closed captions and in the credits below the video. People ignoring those miss a lot of his humour which is subtle and witty. An Imperial barbarian, a Dunmer battlemage, a Bosmer archer, a Breton necromancer, and a Nord Jarl hang out in the Palace of Kings ready to belt out a classic. I take it you liked it! Me too. With Halloween around the corner, I'd recommend In the Hall of the Mountain King! Although I would NEVER turn my nose up at True Colors.

Since you are a gamer, they have quite a few covers that might interest you. I don’t think you have checked these out. In HALO, Scott Porter (who was the original beatboxer) and Layne Stein (who is the current beatboxer) have a little mini duel with red team / blue team and Layne slaps a blue grenade(?) on Scott. Watch until the end so that you get a little history of the group. In addition to others mentioned, they’ve also done the following that I’m aware of: Warriors (originally covered by Imagine Dragons) for League of Legends, a Minecraft mini which is only about a minute long, My Mother Told Me which was used in the game Assassin‘s Creed as well as the television program the Vikings. They also have done Valhalla Calling, also associated with Assassin’s Creed. It is mind blowing. A long, long time ago they did one of their ACA Top 10’s where they do snippets of 10 songs and they did a lot of old school video game themes. I am not a gamer, but the music is amazing.

Enjoying your reactions and the true respect that you have for my very favorite group. Not only the voices and talents but the fact that they truly care and are such good folks. VoicePlay has done an apocalyptic trilogy you might enjoy: Warriors (Imagine Dragons), Dream On (Aerosmith), and Seven Nation Army (White Stripes). I'd have to say I'd agree with Ilona on True Colors. I also am so impressed with In the Hall Of the Mountain King (Edvard Grieg 1875). Think they should have gotten some kind of acapella award for that one. My gaming happened before yours - Doom and all its following, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior. Then I got hooked on developing our land (planted pines) and clearing and grinding stumps about 35 acres (460 trees/acre) of our 78 for horse pastures. Started a house with the love of my life, shut that down when he came down with stage 4 colon cancer which he survived for 10 yrs. He's been gone nearly 7 yrs and I'm about to start working on a house. Time to get out of the camper. Wish me luck!

Omar Cardona was already on 'The Voice' and came in 4th place last year. You are thinking of another friend and featured Voice Play guest, DJ Young (he was the featured guest in Voice Plays Chipmunk Christmas Song). DJ Young will be on this season starting Monday 9/25. I will be watching and voting as he is amazing!
