Where are the strategic goals/objectives that the KPIs track the progress toward them? thank you!

Hi Ahmed. Strategic goals/objectives are defined first and then you link KPI's to them to track and score these goals/objective. This hierarchy is built when defining a scorecard. You can build at the top level perspectives (financial, process etc.), under those goals/objectives and under each of those metric/KPI's with weights. System automatically scores each dimension from bottom up from each metric and their weights. So each goal/objective is scored individually and also each perspective and also each individual scorecard gets a score. In this video at 1:49 a strategy map is displayed in colors. The bubbles are infact goals/objectives and their colors are derived from underlying metrics. This map is populated from a scorecard structure.
