Still haven’t seen anyone catch any 4 to 6 kilo largemouth bass in that lake yet. Still haven’t seen American size bass.

Oh, not possible in Lumot Lake... Catch and Release is not being practiced here unlike in the US... and it's being over fished by locals--even using net... Maybe in Pantabangan... they have bigger LMBs there.

Ill chk out the malate tackle store, thanks. - ( you might wanna do a short vid thats basically a video list of the leisure fishing shops in m.m. especially as a cheaper alternative to decathlon) Simple things like floats, weights bait etc. I did notice they sell mealworms in the pet fish shops in cartimar. One fellow quoted me a price of P80 for a hundred a hundred worms hehe. Just feed them veggies to keep them alive he says. Domelis campsite in lake caliraya last 2/6/22 was wet rainy & muddy for 2 days straight (in February!?!). And I've this feeling resort sewage isn't really diverted or their bathing water filtered) But I guess better than laguna lake maybe 🙃🙃 (Subscribed and shared) Ü

Hello, so sorry for late reply. I’ve been bringing my speedboat to the Chandava area to scan for fish using my boat’s fish finder… wala talaga akong nakikita at nahuhuli na isda sa area na yun. So given that you’re using a similar setup and plastic worm as bait, tapos shore casting lang, chances of catching a largemouth bass is pretty low. Your best bet is to rent a kayak and cross over to Stellar Twin Lake and Mahatao island surrounding areas. It’s too early in the year para sabihin nila mababa na ang tubig sa lake, in fact, January is still season to catch a lot of LMBs kasi malamig pa ang panahon.

Thank you, Darren! No fishing license needed to go fishing in the Philippines! Just practice catch and release in case you get to hook-up small ones, sharks and those that help maintain the coral reef such as Parrot Fishes.

Hello Rico! The NPC facility boat ramp is now closed to walk-ins, you now have to secure a permit prior to your trip. There is another way to launch your boat at the lake, either through one of the lake side resorts near the boat terminal, or through this barangay goo.gl/maps/PtogQpT7okjroNwP7 - will do further research once we’re back to GCQ status. How long is your speedboat.. I think this can only handle jetski
