Hey gr8 work! I got the exact same setup on my boat. Got problems finding spare parts in sweden tho... you dont happen to know a shop with marine bmw parts that ships worldwide?

Yes there is a company called marine parts EU that has most service items ans some parts. There is also V12 marine in America that has alot of parts, they also have various manuals and the original BMW parts catalogue so you can search the Internet by part number.

the refresh is slow, 1 sec . For that money, they should make some 2 time twin transducers and fire them one after another in sequence to cut in half that delay. However, the image is great, also the 20:1 factor.

I'm busy building a 1/4 scale boat, was working in the garage this morning and looked up into the roof. there was still a big piece from the boat my dad overalled when I was a kid... He was so proud of that boat. I hope to have one some day. woven directly on any surface other than the chopped strand 1st, never adheres flatly or well.

I've got a Cybertruck on order but probably won't get it til the end of the second year. By that time I expect there will be some after market aeromods we can buy. Hers my list of mods I'd try First off I'd think that instead of knoby tires some better all weather street tires for better airflow. Then a flexible air dam in front, some wedges in front of the front tires to keep the turbulent air out of the wheel wells and some side skirts to keep air from wrapping around the sides into the low pressure under the car. And there's several things that might help the turbulent air dragging behind the tailgate... A diffuser under the rear end comes to mind AND a teardrop tail shell attached to the tailgate with some vortex generators on the tailgate top edge (at least 9 of them I'd think). A big thing is the ongoing effort to get rid of the side mirrors which are huge turbulent flow (ie drag) generators and just use cameras. But that requires a lot of state legislative bodies to change their laws so I wouldn't expect that soon, even though it's needed.

Sir, Please please reply to me if you're able. I know you are busy. I'm really just trying to understand the large hydroplane black boat hydrodynamics. Can you tell me if the sponsons sit level with the 'flat' contact patch on the rear? If so, how much contact flat sponson (or level with the transom patch) did you have? in feet? Also, how big is the actual contact patch on the rear part of the boat, near the transom? If i am thinking correctly (I know you have deadrise), but if sitting on completely level ground-- the contact patch (no dead rise?) at the rear is a couple feet, and it sits flat on the ground (if you will), level, with half or so of the sponsons?? (I know sponsons have deadrise, Im just referring to the parts that would sit flush with the ground. The rear contact patch, and the sponson patches. Please, reply. I Emailed you as well, Id pay for the reply.

Directly below the front fly wheel on the raw water cross over tube to the heat exchanger there should be like a M14 drain plug. I removed that and installed a Fumoto valve which allows most of the raw water system to drain after you flush it. This will help longevity of components like the oil cooler which is cooled by raw water and has no anode protection. Just ensure you reclose the valve before next underway or you will fill the engine bay with water.
@Nitnoy94
@Nitnoy94 Жыл бұрын
There should be a fuel water separator with those engines in addition to a secondary fuel filter that you may want to check. Both are readily available and don’t require special sourcing. The fuel system was fitted with a bypass to recirculate fuel to the tank to control fuel temperature and prevent vapor lock and hard restarts after a long heat soak period.
@Nitnoy94

Looks like you have HiTek aftermarket stainless exhaust manifolds. If so there should be a zinc anode in the front just under the distributor that requires periodic check.

This hydroplane needs an inboard due to the porpoising.. Johnny Sweet told me the prop has to have lift built in too.
@BoatsandEngines
@BoatsandEngines Жыл бұрын
Just a bit of trim sorted the porpoise (it's manual). Right about the prop though - all I had was a chopper, cleaver would be better: more lift and more efficient in surface mode.

@@BoatsandEngines so with a lifting prop, can a outboard run on the bottom half of the prop like the inboards do?
@BoatsandEngines
@BoatsandEngines Жыл бұрын
@@MrRerod yes both cleaver and choppers are designed for surface piercing, your have to have a modified lower unit or separate water pickup for cooling - same as inboard
