So many people talking about how BLG made mistakes, but can we appreciate how well Gen G defended their base. The rotation and juggling of teleport, wards, vision, objective, push etc was so insane. I have never seen a team defend that well ever in that situation

First of all, GGs to both teams. Secondly, BLG’s decision making started to look a bit impatient in this game. That’s what cost them. Entirely understandable given the high stakes, but it seems they forgot their coach’s advice earlier in the tourney: slow down a bit. Each time they gained an advantage past the mid game, they threw it away pretty immediately. Also I must say, Xun’s Nidalee didn’t seem very convincing this series. Props to GG drafting. That Canyon Karthus pick was sick. Overall, I’d say BLG made many more errors in this series, and at the highest level, it’s often mistakes which lose games, as opposed to outplays which win games.

Giving up the entire rest of the map early game just to limit Chovy was not the play.

That last play from BLG felt like a throw. They needed to contest Elder not send Bin and Knight to backdoor. GenG were just the better team and it showed.
