“It’s a bold strategy cotton, let’s see if it pays off…” Ya was a big risk, high risk high reward. Sad to see them lose but proud of them. I love teams that pick other champs. Let’s see how they do next year, I believe they can win. Well played even if the series was not a W

The play at 38:50 really thrown the match. Not only Masu didn't have to flash there because there wasn't any iminent threat, and he could've just walked to the side, but flashing and then hitting the blastcone just to be thrown back was the most hilarious thing i have ever seen. Just an easy game afterwards for Gen G with 3 free kills and a hug gold lead afterwards.
@martinmccarthy3675Ай бұрын
Yeah it was super risky and didn't really need to happen at that point in the match tbh. Gold diff when they started baron was ~400g so they weren't super down. They had good tempo and their comp would've probably done better in teamfights with a good Fiddle ult. Main problem was the smolder scaling so I think they thought they had to end the game as fast as possible or something like that which is why they tried to sneak the baron.
@xGvPTVx10 күн бұрын
I wonder if they explained what happened there. That was really bad with blast cone.

For me the biggest question mark was the Kalista pick? Picking her is pretty much saying we have to win the game in around 25-35 minutes that stems from an early snowball. In LCS it could have worked, but not against GenG. Outside of this I'm proud of Fly!
@litapd311Ай бұрын
against the smolder i think they were essentially betting on winning the early game (how they won all their games) or losing late game. obviously they didn't win the early game and lost - but even with a later game adc, they might've lost the game to smolder scaling and not having strong early. i'm sad they couldn't clutch it, but still very proud of them!
@ambhpbАй бұрын
I think they wanted a lock-down CC ADC, but Ashe was banned. They drafted perfectly to rape that smolder. Then they executed terribly and just let smolder stack by standing afk at Yone's turret and harass without being punished. Alistair knockup/back, Sett suplex, Yonex ult, Fiddle fear, Kallista ult.. Smolder got CC'd precisely twice this game in the first 20 minutes (his one death). This is called not playing to your win conditions.
@metittat1073Ай бұрын
@@ambhpbya they got caught up on that baron steal, if they focused punishing the smolder things would have gone better
@martingonzalez3629Ай бұрын
@@litapd311 Yes but you can still pickearly game champs, and make the entire draft more cohesive to going late. Look at their first game. Game 1 they had him on Ashe which still has relatively good scaling, not as good as Jinx ofcourse, but most of the enemy comp was pretty late game centered. In that context if they fell behind they could still win especially because they had Quad on Seraphine with Moonstone. Double supports on a midgame ADC can turn them into a late game champ. Im not very good at the game, so im not sure how I would have "fixed" their game 5 draft, but there had to have been a way. :(

It's a shame but not unexpected. The games FlyQuest won were mostly due to Gen.G making ego plays and falling flat for it, I'm assuming after game 3 the coaching staff gave them a verbal thrashing and forced them to play normally.

The draft was a win for Fly. The Baron sneak was a genius move (until they sniffed it out). They just couldnt get their shit back together after sticking around after the sneak was uncovered. Chovy aa'ing Yone under turret for the first 8 minutes of the game and Inspired didnt visit once. Chovy gave zero fcks about lane state and just reverted back to his shit old ways of trying to "farm to win". He should have been punished over and over and over again.

Is there a reason why the supports are always in a low level gap in each match? I play wild rift and there’s no level support gap. Is there no support relics in pc? (Never played pc before)
@tlf2818Ай бұрын
In non-competitive games, the gap is quite lower. But in professional scene the support roams a lot to gank otheer lanes and to fight for vision. Also, they intentionally let their carries farm experience alone if they are safe.
@zily7866Ай бұрын
In pro play supports actively try not to take exp in the early game so their carries can be stronger. They spend more time setting up waves, ganks and vision for their team to be safer and to help make plays on the map. In the rift in solo queue supports tend to be the same level as their ADC's and 1-2 levels max behind solo laners
@FaceMan186Ай бұрын

@BignettofishАй бұрын
Exp on the carries so they can get ahead, and since supps usually roam a lot they don't pick up exp as consistently 😊
@asmodeusfranАй бұрын
You can see they never take waves, they keep them in lane if they can and wait for a solo laner or adc (even if they could protect a turret meanwhile the carry arrives. They rather waste TP than not getting the wave) plus the roaming. In soloQ, supports try to push a lot imo
