There should be a label attached to the wiring harness (might say "Delphi") and it has a date code on it. Look for the wiring harness near the front right side (passenger side for left-hand-drive cars) near the firewall. If the label indicates late '90s or '00s, then it must have been replaced!

Great news. Did they also tell you how they diagnosed the error? I wonder if the electronic error detection of the engine control unit was of any help? All the best for your cars, very enjoyable videos.

Yes, the mechanic said the diagnose system read the error record of throttle actuator (TA). Also, they have other TA and T/LLR, so they replaced and test if the issue will occur or not. Then they convinced it is a failure of TA.

@@billlumbergh6294 I believe there are true experts in Tokyo but I could not find by searching from Internet. I think the W124 shop near my hometown just does not want to receive my W124, as it seems troublesome.

94は完全にモデルチェンジ後なんですが、93は前期のボディに後期のユニットやコンピュータを乗せてるモデルで、非常に鬼門です。このトラブルはヤナセに出すと普通にコンピュータとハーネスまで交換の対応になり、当時の修理代でも60万以上の見積もりになったはずですね、 エンジンに関しても水回りが難儀でヘッドガスケットの問題やらウォーターポンプの簡略化に伴うキャビテーションから水温上昇と、癖が強いモデルイヤーでした。

Really nice, I have the 4 door sedan version of this car, Turbo as well, same color on the exterior, but red & black interior. I fitted some Bosch fog lights from the 1980s I found at a flea market and put yellow film over them because I really liked how yours looked with the yellow lights. So now they are even more alike ;)

So many Peugeots amd Citroëns (BX in green 😍) - I grew up with Peugeots, a dealership right on the other side of the street of my parent‘s house. 106 Rallye!!! I‘m thinking about buying one at the moment - but quite expensive in good condition. Didn’t know PSA (Peugeot/Citroën) are so popular in Japan 😊

Good to hear that your favorite cars are there. PSA is now popular in Japan, but 30 years ago when the BX or 405 were new, I think it was not so major option to choose such cars. That's why enthusiasts maintain welll and our generation can take over them😊

Hi ! This is Hella comet 450! There are two types of lens cuts; fog and driving. I installed fog for left and driving for right side. Hope it will help you, thanks😉

こんにちは、94の320ですね。当時業者だったので散々乗りました。前期マスクを後期に変えた個体も多かったです。w124は93以降前期マスク最終から3.2L積んでるんですが、ソフトリミッター追加しか最初のモデルです。点火系とイグナイタータイプになってたので、当時でも良く壊れてましたね。エンジンルーム熱害で吹けない症状。 94からクライスラー資本が入りこのw124後期もボディの作りが変わり高張力鋼板使われだしたので、軽快になったんですが、それ以前のメルセデス特有の気持ち良いダルさは薄くなりました。 93からATがメルセデス自社からZFになり出だしは良くなってきたんですが、壊れると高い、 変更点で言えば、ステアリングラック、リアサスのメンバー、シートのクッションがバネからウレタンに変更と賛否はありました。 後期w124を将来的に維持して行くなら、出費はそれなりにかかります。 本当は前期シングルカムでメルセデス製ATの300TEがおすすめです。 機会があれば是非試乗してみて下さい、あのフィーリングは他の車では味わえないので、 後修理、メンテですが都内でもw123.124の老舗スペシャリストの工場ありますよ。 長文で失礼しました。

こんにちは、W124オーナーです。 KZbinを拝見したところ、シガーソケットに、USBアダプタを接続されていらっしゃいます。差し支えなければ、 USBアダプタのメーカー名や品番を教えていただけますか。私は、ベンツ純正のUSBアダプタを購入したのですが、W124には合わないようです。宜しくお願いします。

新品で購入したものです。挿入すると多少ぐらつきます。 挿入した状態で、上や下に少し傾けると、通電します。

Loved my first car - 1972 Saab 96. 3 on the tree and free wheeling - What a blast ! I really miss that car...But Dad's 900 Turbo ? I'd consider trading a kidney for that one !
