I am confused. I used to be a part of Anchor. I just came back after three years to start my podcast again and my ads were gotten rid of. I moved my account to Spotify for Podcasters. Am I still not able to include an ad for free like Anchor used to allow me to do?

Is it still worthwhile to use Anchor as a brand new podcaster who wants to monetize fast?

Hi How did you make money ? through their ads? through subscriptions? it's frustrating as I have have a popular podcast but I reside in Canada and am not eligible. I am for podcast subscriptions and may have to go that route. I also found some private sponsors on my own.

So anchor did some changes. I didn’t know you can make money off of Spotify .

I never got any emails. I just noticed the change when I tried to log in. I tried to upload my show and it got removed less than 12 hours later. Now I don't know where to turn.

So now spotify bought ankor, there is no more ads payout option? Because I do not see it , I do not understand how to get ad revenue now if you use Spotify casters distribution platform. Am I missing something?

Great life back you executed on I just started my Pod, and went with Buzzsprout because that’s what everyone says… but it looks like Spotify is the only one paying. This is heavily convincing me to switch to Spotify. Any cons?

I would say for the US citizens its the best for everyone else world wide we don't benefit the ad read system. Plus other sites like redcircle offer other perks like your own website. You place where to put ads etc I'm talking from a UK citizen stand point

Thank you for your explanation. After switching to Spotify for podcasting, someone hacked my account and changed my email address. I couldn't access my own account. Spotify customer support chat responded quickly and resolved the problem. However, I asked about 2FA to prevent this issue from occurring again, and they told me that there was no such thing. There is no additional security feature to secure your Spotify Podcaster account. Are you kidding me? In this age and time? Spotify for podcasters is a no no. I am moving to BuzzSprout.

Does a podcast download mean a person that listened? Or does a person have to actually download the episode for it to count as a download?
