So basically, you knit a row with the old color, switch yarn color and then knit again in the new color? And continue on with the pattern you've been doing? Did i get that right?? 😬
@lschueКүн бұрын
You can change colors after a purl row. Just remember that the row with the new color must be all knits.

Love your Beautiful Blanket ❤ Blue is my Favorite Color would you Please Share your Pattern and your Yarn name and The Colors that you used? The Blue color that you used is very pretty. I bought the Cindywood 80 peg 5/8 Loom back in August 2024 I have not used it At all. I really need to check to make sure if it’s 5/8? My son is 6” feet tall I would make a longer blanket because he might wrap end of blanket under his feet With the loom I got would it work for your blanket pattern? I’m not sure if he would like eyelets? Where could I get your Blanket Pattern for this , I don’t know how to do the Correct Pattern on the 80 peg loom I bought?
@lschue5 күн бұрын
The pattern and the loom I used is linked in the info below the video. It is made with #4 yarn so a 7/16” loom would be a better choice. If your using a 5/8” it would work better with a #5 yarn. As for the yarn I used its from Hobby Lobby called “I love this yarn” the dark blue is called Dark Country Blue and the lighter blue is called Stonewash Blue. I have other patterns available.. If you can find me on facebook… send me a message on messenger maybe I can help more there.

Your videos on the process are just wonderful! ❤ I was wondering on ssock rulers are the right hand markings with "US" and a number attached to them, for shoe size??? They seem to all have a hole next to them similar to some needle gauge tools for using to check regular knitting needle sizing by poking the needle in them.

I have a long loom that I just finished a blanket on. The cast-off was perfect except on the end of loom where's there's just one peg. It ended up making a few of the stitches stretch for some reason as I went around to the other side. Is there something you recommend to prevent that? I've done this bind-off on a round loom no issues. I hope this makes sense.
@lschue2 ай бұрын
I am thinking that there is more space on both sides of the 1 peg on the end, compared to the nice even spaces between the pegs on the long sides of the loom. I never had much luck making blankets on that type of loom… I always found the spacing made the blanket look different in that area. I’m not exactly sure what you can do to make it work on a long loom.

Some loomers do not like doing the bobbles… so if you don’t want to do the bobbles…just do purl stitches on that row instead of doing bobbles.

So does this loom work better with chunky yarns? Like if you were to use a #4 or 3 the result would be very lacy unless the stitch had more u wraps and less e wraps. In the beginning i thought it was a smaller guage loom. 🤔 Love the blanket. Do you donate these?
@lschue3 ай бұрын
@@ΧριστίναΜαγουλα-β1ξ This gauge shown in this video is 5/8” and works best with #5 and #6 yarn. They do sell another gauge in the same style loom and that one is 7/16” gauge and works best with #4 yarn. But yes… using thinner yarns would produce a lacey knit. I usually do donate or gift most of my blankets. 🥰

Laurie, could you please tell me if it is better to do the the pair of socks at the same time on two looms to get them to match and the tension to be the same? I am trying to decide whether I should buy two of the same sock looms all at once or just one would be enough. What size shoe do you take? Does the 63 loom fit most widths? Could you tell me why you love the Cindlooms one the plastic KB oval sock loom? Thanks in advance for all your answers?
@lschue3 ай бұрын
I can only give advice from my point of view… I don’t do both at one time. I think I would be overwhelmed especially with all the rows required for the foot. I love making socks so much because there are different steps which to me makes it more fun and interesting. I don’t feel it would affect my tension either way. And by finishing up one sock it gives me more motivation to get started on the second sock. I do know that if you want your colors to match you must start each sock at the same color! Like I explained in the video. So far I have been very lucky getting them to match. I wear a size 8D and my foot circumference is 9” so I use the CinDwood Oval sock loom 1/4” 64 Peg Loom. The same loom I’m using in the video.

I hope to… I definitely will be making more patterns on the 7/16” Giant oval version as I am able to use #4 yarn, and that is alot easier on my arthritis. Some patterns I already have out could also work on this 5/8” loom.. and of course then the blankets would be wider.

How wide of a blanket do you get from this giant Afghan loom
@lschue3 ай бұрын
I can leave you know once I remove it from the loom. I can tell you that the blanket I made on the 7/16” with #4 yarn was 62” wide. I don’t think this one made on the 5/8” with #5 yarn will be quite as wide. It really does depend on what stitches you use as well as the yarn. I have a few (🤣) purls in this blanket on the video and that usually cuts down on the width.
