Yes you can use Flexee’s.. since Flexee’s don’t come in the 7/16” I suggest using the 1/2” Regular size. You could use the Skinny Flexee’s but your blanket will not be as wide as the pattern indicates.

I'm just learning how to loom knit and I have a question, on your blanket pattern, will it tell us how many pegs should be for the border? Or will it just read K or P and If so do we just do the four on each end for the border before starting the pattern? I'm currently thinking about purchasing the bundle on cindwoodlooms that includes the loom and your three patterns for blankets .

The pattern will definitely tell you exactly what to do in simple terms. Just don’t get overwhelmed when you first see the pattern. My patterns are long because I try to write them row by row and/or as easily as I can. Just make sure you have the correct loom and weight of yarn and jump in!! I used a #4 weight acrylic yarn, I really don’t know how that compares to U.K. yarn.

Your first on the Left says K. How does someone know to k3 if it says K. To me it means just k 1 time. I hope this make sense.

The first “K” is in red ink which tells you to knit your borders for that row. How many, depends on how many pegs you are using for your border. In this sample, I am using the 3 pegs with green markers. The next K1 is black ink and means to Knit 1 peg.
