Watching this video shows how so many electrical problems show up and then gone in a few days. Here is coating that can be used for insulating some of these parts. 8690 Acrylic Conformal Coating on the Big A store. Thanks Heath for showing a detailed process. I will start by getting new windshield with new gaskets.

I didn’t know about the conformal coating! That would be perfect. Thanks for that great tip! I did my windshield three days after my fix. I really had no good videos or articles that I trusted to go by so I wanted to make sure the fix would work. The job wasn’t bad and solved all my electrical woes! Thanks for the comment and let me know how the project goes!

I have a 03 ford excursion and the cab lights stay on cause it thinks theirs a door still open when all the doors are closed. Is it possible that this module is the issue? It also has a starting issue where we have too bypass the igntion switch so any tips on that would also be very appreciated.

You may have a bad door ajar switch… I would check those first. If it acts up or different after a rain, this is probably the problem. You would have to give me a lot more info on the ignition problem for me to help you.

@@heathputnam9524 sounds about what I was thinking of as well for the ajar switch. But for the ignition after digging into it theirs a black and pink striped wire that fell out of the ignition and looks like it broke off from where it's supposed too be at. Is that wire for the security system? Cause the security light does blink when truck is running. May sound dumb but this is my first time doing something like this and don't want too mess it up more then it already is.

I've been having the random electrical issues for a year or more. I had seen other videos on this subject but this one is the best yet. I'm just now finding it as I was in the process of repairing mine. I do have one connector that was so badly corroded that it was only barely making contact. Upon removal it came apart. Thanks for sharing this idea! I tried this out yesterday. I looked really cool! But my lamp globe cracked.... It was a cold night (maybe 10 F), but I brought the lamp globe straight from indoors to the lit stove, so I doubt it had enough time to pre-cool much. I'm guessing it was just too much heat at once. Do you think using a dampener for a lower flame at first would solve this? I'm a bit reluctant to risk another lamp globe. I'm considering trying a mason jar with the bottom cut off, but I've read they're not meant for oven use, so I'm guessing the it wouldn't be up to the thermal shock either.

In the very early stage it burns similar to a regular fire using air around the flame for the chemical reaction. Then once a little heat is formed it burns as the video shows. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Could be several things… from easiest to very bad. Accelerator pedal assembly, throttle position sensor, bad wiring or connector, engine control module. Are the O2 sensor wires under the car in good condition? If they are disconnected or damaged fix them first. That can cause the ECM to burn out. Watch the video again and do the checks as specified. Good luck!

Tip for people trying to drill stainless steel: Use newer cobalt drill bits with a pilot tip. Put the metals to be drilled in the freezer. Get a container and fill it with cold water and some ice. Submerge the stainless steel in the cold water. Go between slow and medium speed with pressure. Clear initial shavings away by shaking it in the water, then continue drilling. I was having definite issues before using the above. Doing the above combo made it almost easy. An automatic center punch can also help.

@@heathputnam9524 Thank you. It's hard to find quartz glass of the right size (I would have to buy a patio heater replacement tube and cut it down), so I've decided to use a borosilicate lantern globe for when it is in lantern mode, and use a food can for when it will be in heater mode. But I have a secret sauce to up the efficiency of the heater mode. I have some platinum coated rock wool fibers that I'm going to encase in some stainless steel mesh. That will go up at the top of the food can. Put the flame out, and let it run on fumes. At least, that's the idea.

@ would you say that airflow is more important than temperature? As in, should the diesel be added at the bottom of the can as liquid or go through some form of heating and vaporised at the pyrolysis zone?

My truck stays running if i take the key out and it also gets stuck in park! Also throws ABS codes and the transmission slips and wont downshift. Then after it snowed my wipers quit working. I noticed the GEM fuse was melty looking so I replaced it and it fixed the issue but then it got hot and went back to hanging up in park again. Oddly enough somebody tried to steal my truck last night but they couldn't because it was stuck in park! Kind of thankful for this issue in a weird way. But they did break my lock out and destroyed my key cylinder.

In this era of consumption and need for fuels to impulse our own industries and business this subject become fundamental so we need more investigation and deep learning about this. please don't stop to learn and keep experimenting and creating. by my part I'll gonna learn more about and do my own research. if at a any moment I got satisfactory results I let you know. thanks for sharing.

Even with 16 THOUSAND holes, if you restrict the air flow WITH the pellets, you are restricted still! Only at the end will you reap the benefits. Reduce the pellet flow into the hopper-stove and test again. A small feeder tube onto a screen at a 45-degree angle will (with fidgeting) show massive improvements.
