Cut up milk cartons can be used to, not plastic, the little school lunch size milk boxes or the whipping cream size or 1 quart size container of milk or half & half, etc.....

Hi great video tutorial thank you for sharing 😁. I do have a question though, I have tried to make votive candles previously with Soy wax, but they are very reluctant to pop out of their moulds. I usually end up with lots of bits. Any hints, tips or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks i have the exact mold and stick from i wouldn't be suprised the same kit hes using. My boyfriend found it in a 2nd hand store in canada for $1.50 and i wanted to smooth my edges and stumbling across this video was a little bit of luck. I also dipped in wax then after a day quickly in boiling water its flawless.

Just a question why do you have to use old wax ? Can you use new wax but add crayon to it ?
@MakingyourowncandlesCoUkXtra6 жыл бұрын
You don't have to use old wax - it's just a way of using up any old candles you might have. We don't recommend crayons - they will colour the wax, but the candle is unlikely to burn well.

I wish someone had told me about those full sheet labels when I was starting out! Oh my gosh, time and mind saver! They look great on that tin. I sell the same 6 ounce tins in black and in white, gorgeous! Really makes candles stand out at a show or market. If you're interested, please message me at gipsihouse at gmail dot com. I can give you a great discount on US orders direct. To see the tins, search out gipsi house on Etsy or Amazon (US).

What type of transfer is it? I understand it's a waterslide transfer but are there any Dos and Don'ts for what type of material can be transferred onto a candle (hence health and safety)? Not sure if there are no-no materials or materials that tick the box. New to candle making and looking to start making some.
@MakingyourowncandlesCoUkXtra6 жыл бұрын
Hi Christine. These are specifically designed to work on candles - they don't burn at all, but gently melt with the candle was it burns down.
