Trying to fix the same on a EA888.3 on an Octavia VRS. Lower bolts of the timing cover are such a pain to get to. Literally ZERO room to work. Replaced gasket for the cover, both gasket for the solenoid and the o-ring inside the cam variator too. If solenoid are sticky just wash them with brake cleaner until the pin in the middle is free to "rattle". Wetness of the cover is a lot less but i wonder how you're expected to torque the cover bolts with the mount in the way. Fuck that.
@teejaylcКүн бұрын
Torquing the cover bolts were really not that bad with the mount there. I just had to buy a smaller torque wrench and it was able to fit. The bottom bolt in the lower corner farther from you I had to just hand torque lol other than that. Throw some honda bond around the corners for some extra protection 👍🏼

THROUGH THE BUMPER 😭😭😭. Using the masking tape to hold that lip up was a genius idea, when i get stuff for my sq5 I’ll be doing that too. Maybe melt some plastic down to fill the hole and sand and paint it with color match paint.. hopefully that works 😭

Too tuff shocks, that would break a carbon or FRP hood (it did to my previous car). Also mounting points are looking weak, bending over the pressure, again because the shock are too strong. Potential issue - when closing the stock hood you have to press over it, that would leave dents at some point. Pairing the kit with correct shocks will solve most of the issues apart the latter one

@teejaylc13 күн бұрын
I have front camber bolts and adjusted my front to negative 2. If you lower the car like mine your camber will be around negative 3 which would probably help with no rubbing. Also depends on how low you go
