I had a 2018 TTRS previously. The 2018 is still one of my favorite cars I ever owned, but these are the 5 things I hated about the TTRS in MY EXPERIENCE: -The stock transmission is the worst lag I've ever experienced especially in low speeds. The constant bucking of the DSG get's very exhausting after while (although a tune solves that) -Suspension is super stiff, which is to be expected with the type of car it is. But it comes with the sacrifice of an uncomfortable daily if driving for longer periods of time. -Parts and maintenance are costly, you need deep pockets to own this car. -I always hated the side profile of the car. 🤣 -As a tall guy (6'2"), getting in and out of the car fucked my knees and the head room was low which ultimately is the reason why I had to move on from the car. PROS: Literally EVERYTHING ELSE about the car that I did not mention above. It's superior to any other car in it's price range and literally FEELS like a super car for around $50k. Would i buy another in the future? 100% YES. But as a secondary, not as my primary.

After extensive experience on the EA888 engine! 3rd gen on Audi, Porsche and VW. I have learned that that Engine likes 5W-30, oil changes at 3k, fully synthetic of course! Please the oil additives are less that 1/2 life with a turbo engine and timing chain, specially the viscosity additives that’s why ow oil is not a good idea! Please save your engine from excessive wear! Also warm that engine and turbo before driving at a minimum oil temperature of 100F. Change the timing chain at 4degress deviation..plus 4, or minus 4! If you do that at a minimum that’s a 250k miles engine

I have had the same lip on mine since Sept. I havnt had any issues and we have been dealing with the same weather since your only 45min away. I feel like driving a lowered car in pittsburgh isnt a good idea summer/winter due to how poor every road is around here. If you had another one that was stronger and you hit that iceball it could have ripped off the whole lower part of the bumper. I would rather the cheap lip crack off and my front bumper is fine to replace it with something else.
@teejaylc20 күн бұрын
It's always a risk being lowered and I still would like to try a lip that wouldn't crack to see what would happen. Most lips that are actually durable don't sit half as low as this one so would be less of an issue. The main thing I wanted to try, is a lip that is one piece. Btw I was out in Greensburg yesterday destroying those back roads. Completely covered in snow. I didn't record anything but man oh man was it an epic time..

@@teejaylc the EOS lip looks nice. I was contemplating the matte black one as my only issue with this current lip i just dont like the 3 piece look. If I felt more comfortable working on VW/Audis I’d get a used GTI and build a race car. All those turbos need is a tune, some bolt ons and you’re pushing numbers a GRC would only see after thousands of dollars in engine and cooling upgrades.

In a gti you can obtain 350whp with about $2000 in mods and tune. In a corolla, you might be able to squeeze out 330whp with about 12-15k in mods and tuning. But if you put 12-15k in a gti, you would be around 500whp
