I use to sing this a lot as a tween when I first saw this movie.

I’d be interested to know the statistics on broken families in the US vs other countries. I’m not sure, but My instincts tell Me that the rate of divorce and parental separation is far higher here in the United States than in any other civilized nation. It’s just disgusting and disheartening that people are so overly promiscuous with unprotected sex in relationships that they shouldn’t be in, be it toxic relationships or bad marriages..and they bring kids into the world and let them grow up in dysfunction. I’m not suggesting people don’t date. I’m not suggesting to be celibate until marriage. However, the goal when dating a girl should be to get engaged to them, and if it’s not heading there, you need to break up. Also, people need to be financially established before having kids. I’m speaking from a place of failure, not success. So trust Me I assure You I am not talking from the top of the mountain here.. I made plenty of mistakes that I’m still paying for as a middle-aged Man. But I know if I could go back in time, all the things I would have done differently. It’s just all such a disaster, and I do think social media plays an enormous role in a lot of the infidelity and toxicity that goes on today. This world would turn on a dime if the structure of traditional family was a central focus.

Imagine aliens actually did find this and then flung it back to earth with a extra message that says "It appears you dropped this and we thought you might want it back"

My mother was previously married to a different man she had two children with. He cheated on her with a family friend, then had the gall to say she had to earn his trust and love back. He is an absolute pillock. Mum never badmouthed him once to their kids. In the end, she didn't have to. He destroyed his reputation himself. You do not use children to wage war on your ex. If they are truly a bad parent, your children will see it themselves. Having disdain for someone does not automatically make them bad. And Judge Judy makes sure people get this.

In 1969, at age 19, I observed the PLAGUE of divorce taking place. I decided never to get married or have children. The risk of social and financial disaster was not worthwhile for me as a man. Now, at age 74, BEST DECISION EVER!

I hate so much that we have to continuously live with the Romans' mistake of not counting from the year 0, which leads to weird counterintuitive bits like a century beginning in 1901.

It went from one extreme to another. Historically, fathers (men in general) were given more rights in the courts. Then it flipped on its head and judges (majority male, no less) favored women. Nevermind applying the law fairly and actually doing what is in the best interests of the children -- something they often give lip service to.
