@ Yes… Tony was a sheet metal worker by trade and the band only did a few local gigs until their 3rd album. Tony lost the tips of his index and FU finger in an accident in the sheet metal shop. He used glued on leather finger cots just to be able to play…!!! There’s an even longer story that would wait until I had more time to tell it. I partied with them after a concert in Beaumont, Texas when Ronnie James Dio (RIP) was the frontman and I worked backstage security for that concert…

I was fortunate enough to see them in 98 when Ozzie re-joined the band. I was 16...WOW!! Pantera was with them. I bet no one can guess who was the opener for Pantera and Sabbath.

This Black Sabbath version is with the original lyrics so this must have been recorded before they changed the lyrics for the studio album. I believe Ozzy's solo album The Ozzman Cometh has the original studio version with these lyrics.

The label wouldn't let him release the song they wrote hence the studio version. The live version is the song that was written.

I've heard studio recordings that have "throw the Priest into the fire and watch them eating dead rat dinners. I believe that it was a British release. I never heard live version from the early days of Black Sabbath. I ❤it

lmao is he famous? I love that. Yes ma'am Tony Iommi is very famous. he's the greatest riff guitarist ever. Geezer the bassist is the greatest bassist ever as is Ward on the drums. Ozzy is the 2nd greatest front man ever. while he's my fav, Freddy Mercury did exist after all. Lemme was never in Black Sabbath, but they were good friends. and Yes ma'am this is heavy metal. Sabbath are the fathers of Heavy Metal. It all started with them.

BLACK SABBATH WAS PURE POWER ON STAGE SEEING THEM LIVE IN THE LATE SEVENTIES WAS JUST AMAZING. THOUSANDS OF HANDS HAVE BEEN INFLUENCED BY IOMMI, OZZY'S HUANTING VOICE, GEEZER'S LYRICS AND THUNDEREROUS BASS. WARDS TIMING AND ORCHESTRA STYLE DRUMMING. CHANGED MUSIC FOREVER.

@@TheCompareokeLounge Historic..A night I'll never forget..The people I knew were doing the lights and sound at Ford Auditorium so I had Access to all areas of the show..While walking to halls during the opening acts show I met Ozzy..He was alone, and I said have a great show..He said " Thanks Man"..I was standing on the side of the stage as SABBATH played listening to the cues (with headphones)as the songs played and how the lights were used. My friends were so jealous when I told them...Cheers !

I did change a few lyrics in the second verse, was partly misheard lyrics I thought was the lyrics years ago, but I put it in there, cuz to me it puts more emphasis on the "lovers" interpretation of the song than the love of the motorcycle/open road theme, more so to me anyway. At least I didn't think it was "I'm your terminallll loverrrr", lol 😂

WAR PIGS....not WAR DOGS......this version is before the album was recorded and the lyrics were somewhat changed !!!....T pain was Awesome, his guitar player is crisp and heavy ....but Sabbath's album version could never be topped !!!! You have to remember, Sabbath wrote and played this in 1970 !!...think about it !!
