S1E6: It’s time for another episode of Original vs. Cover! This week, we’re throwing it back to Black Sabbath’s heavy-hitting track "War Dogs." Known for their gritty, raw sound, Black Sabbath's original set the standard for metal, but hold on-T-Pain is here to shake things up! Known for his smooth autotune and R&B flair, T-Pain brings a whole new vibe to this rock classic. Did he pull it off? Or does the original reign supreme? Let’s break down these two versions and see which one dominates in The Compareoke Lounge!
Which one’s your favorite? Let us know in the comments! Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more epic comparisons!

I have to kinda give the two live performances a tie in this case, great musicians in both bands 💯%. I find Sabbath's' live Paris version very interesting because of the different lyrics, I had not heard this version before. Ozzie's voice is really sharp in the stronger vocal parts, but a little bit weak on the lowrr volume parts, slurred some of the lyrics to me it seemed, but overall a great performance. Black Sabbath's band, great work in this performance, great guitar solos and great drumming. Tony Iommi, arguably one of the greatest guitarists of hard rock/heavy metal of all time, huge long career. I think I've seen a ot of commenters over the years do seem to credit Black Sabbath as possibly the inventors or the original (or one of them) heavy metal band. T-Pain's performance was amazing, proves his incredible vocal range and talent, without using an auto-tune mic, his ability to sing multiple genres; seems like he was mixing funk blues rock with hard rock and a pinch of heavy metal in War Pigs here, was a great touch. The band is amazing, I would have to think these artists have been in other successful groups; the guitarist in particular, even the bassist, amazing solo work at the end there. The band's sound especially the instrumental at the end reminds me very much of Living Colour, a great hard rock band that has tunes that are kinda heavy metal as well, like Cult of Personality, a favorite song of mine.

There are lyrics in this whole version of Black Sabbath's live 1970, that are different from the traditional version of War Pigs that I remember.
