One of the best interviews with Alison, I swear sometimes I get more nuggets out of these interviews than some of the courses and her courses are PACKED with good nuggets!

Yes! We tried to get her to talk about some things she doesn't normally share, and ask her about some specific things that had worked for my wife and I - so that others could benefit too. Thanks for commenting!

Really enjoying the interview! It was so lovely to learn that Alison's work played such a big part in your guys' partnership. Each conversation I watch with Alison she is able to delve more deeply and sometimes reveal different aspects and angles of her work, and it was a delight listening to you all. Thank you ❤

i've had a lot of experience with older people who are nearing the end of life and would like to ask your views on the behaviour that causes the elderly to become more selfish in their declining years and not express any kindness ? is there a way to help redress this imbalance ? I realise they are returning to expressions of their own true selves which can be disturbing for those around them and that don't realise they have been living a 'mask', a way of being that they adopted that was what they thought they should be but some are unnecessarily unkind.

I feel bad for Alison having to share her story every single time she goes on a podcast. Its like none of the interviewers set it up well.

I know her well, as I imagine you do too - going by your comment - but my community members who this interview was originally for, did not know her so some of her background was necessary...

But won't these thoughts run somehow underneath the radar of my attention anyway?
@SandyNewbigging Жыл бұрын
Great question! It depends, but not necessarily. It would depend on a few factors... including, for example, it would depend on our capacity to 'be present' (as when we are giving all of our attention to the moment instead of the mind, the thinking mind usually becomes quiet and still). See my other videos for more on this... 'Find Peace With Who You Are & How Life Is' or my video 'Access Peace - Here & Now'. Hope this answer helps! SN

This is actually incredibly profound advice. And as an intuitive, I can tell you these conversations in our heads are real on a level. Energy is exchanged, and this is a form of energy exchange that can be draining for both parties. I think this is why ho’oponopono is so powerful because it helps to free up the energy for both people involved.

I love the invitation to rest back into your being. Being able to return to the comfort of just being you. It's hard for me to do that after a life of cultural imposed pretending and faking. Dropping the mask feels so heavy and makes me feel guilt. But the wording makes it so poetic and special and makes me wanna break "the rule" 😂 Thank you!
@SandyNewbigging Жыл бұрын
I totally get what you mean around 'cultural imposed pretending' - great phrase! Thankfully, the awareness within is beyond conditioning :-) Check out my other videos for more on this - including 'Access Peace Anytime Anywhere'. Thanks for your comment!

Yes, you are right, it does sound counter-intuitive. But it can help the emotions move on more quickly - by doing our best to not resist them and instead, by learning how to let the full spectrum of feelings to pass through... Thanks for your comment. Sandy

Interesting discussion. Although I disagree with Richard saying that the UK has an identity crisis linked to the British empire. These banking families/so-called elites have been controlling things for eons and the British empire simply passed power over to the USA as the 'enforcer' (militiary power) of the world. The UK, meanwhile, still maintained the status quo as the financial centre and the Vatican the spiritual. However, I believe all of this nonsense will dissolve and go away over the next 10 to 20 years. As the new energies flooding into this planet will no longer allow these outdated power structures to function unless they evolve for the full benefit of the world/humanity.

@@SandyNewbigging this was the only thing that broke-through to me after my wee brother was killed. The docs gave me drugs to deal with it but they were horrible. Mindcalm CD dissolved my anxiety away; it was the only healthy thing that worked for me and I'd never properly done any meditation before. Thanks again 🏴🦊🏴

Is it GAAWO? or GAIWO? (Awarenress or Intention?) or does it come to the same? The concept of meditation as "doing nothing as all" is very useful to me , as is GAAWO. The conception of Stillness, Silence and Space as "CONTEXT" is also very useful to me. When I was introduced to it in Tibetan meditations, I took it too much as a mental construct, as a "context" it's much more open. ( although of course, it was probably how the Tibetan/Bon tradition meant it). Another reminder to always try to go beyond concepts and ideas.🙂
@SandyNewbigging2 жыл бұрын
It is GAAWO - which stands for Gently Alert Attention Wide Open. I have a video teaching the technique in my Mind Detox Starter Toolkit on my website - www.sandynewbigging.com. You are absolutely right that you want to directly experience the context, rather than just know the concept and idea. Thanks for your comment! Sandy
