You can't be serious? These games are not even comparable. XDefiant is a hero shooter. No hero shooter will ever kill COD, never, not in any way shape or form. Hero shooters are lame and boring, that's why XDefiant is dying. When BO6 releases XDefiant will be dead.

Although XDef and CoD compete in the same market, I don't think they necessarily compete head to head in the sense of "one is better than the other". They both play entirely different and are structured to cater to different types of players. Both of them existing simply offer players more diversity in game selection. Which is always good. It prevents over reach and monopolization in the industry. And not only that, you can enjoy both. It's similar to back in the Halo vs CoD days. Sure there were the playground arguments as to which one was better, but buy n large, most people were actually playing both Halo and CoD.

Wtf Black ops 6 BETA has better connection..better hitboxes...better maps... And for me as s more casual player now i had much better matches without many swea5s in black ops than the sweatfest that xdefiant was.... And xdefiant is not a goood ol cod...older cods dont have classes and abilities..only killatreaks..with the exception of 2 black os games Xdefiant is months out now and is in worse spot than black ops 6 which leleases in two months...

Do you know what was their BIGGEST mistake with Rogue Company IMO? They didn't advertise the game enough OR correctly. Games like Fortnite have a lot of players, and they also get ads on youtube or just... everywhere. Everyone knows about Fortnite for example, even if they don't play it, so it's always something to consider. WHO knew about Rogue Company? i know most people i know didn't. Most people will never even know Rogue Company ever existed, and that says a lot. Yeah, ok, they did those incredible collabs with content creators, but plenty of people don't watch them. I NEVER watched anything from Doctor Disrespect or Mr. Beast. How would i ever know about the game if i completely depended on watching them?? there weren't any ads flying around, nothing. I ran into this game by pure chance, probably looking for it or something. I remember the FIRST TIME EVER that i saw this game, and it was on LOSTyGIRL's channel (she's a videogame youtuber/streamer who mainly plays Mortal Kombat). I remember thinking the game was so cool when i first saw it, but i didn't have a good enough PC for it at the time. When i finally got a PC that could run it, i eventually re-found this game and found out it was free to play, AWESOME! The game was so beautiful, cool and creative, and FREE! I was STOKED. I played this game every single day for a WHILE, and i think maybe a friend of mine reintroduced me to it, so we played it together A LOT. The game was EXTREMELY good for a Free To Play game where you could unlock everything by playing, and it was extremely fun. I remember i arrived when Switchblade's chapter was soon to be released. The problem with this game, in my opinion, is that the game didn't get famous and recognized enough, it didn't make it to the public eye for lack of PROPEPR advertisement, i think Hi-Rez never wanted to invest on making this game famous. You know why i think that? because the game was AMAZING, and it would have definitely kept enough players if everyone knew about it. The game had flaws, but mostly things you could overlook for it being a FREE game of such quality, and some of the bugs that it had could be easily be taken care of. What happens is that the game never got known, so it didn't get new players, and because of that Hi-Rez wasn't getting enough money from it, so they stopped caring about it, and BECAUSE they stopped caring about it and never fixed game breaking bugs and introduced some pretty bad changes that messed up balancing, THAT'S why older players stopped playing. My friend stopped playing because the matchmaking was bad, which is also a problem created by lack of players, cause we would only get matched against insane players. Anyway... i think if enough people were playing and they kept fixing the game and caring for it, it would have been a success, because it WAS a pretty damn good game, i LOVED this game, but they just letft it for dead.

I often wonder how players of today would fare back in the 1st ever FPS games, as a man twice your age BradUK i was playing them games starting with Quake and then into COD/BF and so on, the game mechanics were very simple and much less demanding to control, nowadays you need to have multifunctioning fingers not to mention the equipment controller/keyboard and mouse. XDefiant is a fun game when you are playing against equal levels to the next player, same ping same hit regs same skill set. Sadly tho this is where the game lacks somewhat, the game is designed for sweats and most definitely not for casual players. The changes needed to advance are pretty simple in principle but less so in practical, the hit reg i feel will never be fixed as i think its a flaw in the game engine, they need more players per side as 6 is so small especially when you see every match has a top 3 and bottom 3 divide, 80%+ games have the top 3 players getting all the kills and the bottom are cannon fodder, the top 3 players get ranked up 10x faster than the bottom 3, in turn that means the bottom 3 players find each game they join terrible, then the knobheads start shouting "GET GOOD" expecting every player to be a 19yr old pro when they are not......Yes we all know its the same for every game, the difference to other games is you can play modes that suit your skill set, in XDefiant you cant. I play XDefiant and i can do very well even at my age and i enjoy it down to the concept as well as most of the maps(some i dont like), but the devs have created a game that is FREE and its not finished, maybe in time they might finish it. I do not think they will shut the game down, i think it will still be around for people to play but with NO further fixes and it will be run by cheaters.

I love XDefiant. I will continue to play it. Season 2 is going to be great. They’re going to load it up with content. Once we get prestige it will be so much fun.

If I play cod I'm on for 30 mins tops. I load up xdefiant and I'm confused when I'm suddenly sat in the dark because the sun has gone down and I've played for hours.

xdefiant issues: - Hit markers but no damage done. - Bullets passing through enemies. - Dying/killing behind walls, hitbox lags behind. - Terrible way to unlock free gun skins, just use same gun for hundrets of hours to level it up and skins is boring, no weapon challanges like longshot, headshot, naked gun, crouching, double kills... Challanges can make even a lost game fell like progression, because you acomplished something. - I took both Battle Passes to support the game, rewards in second BP are terrible and BP level up is too slow. - Account levels up for no reason, no rewards, daily challanges give account xp, account level number changes thats it, no point in account level at all. - You cant change the color of your sights. - Cant customize enemy team and friendly team colors. Red is for some reason really hard to see in xdefiant, when you place a red dot over red enemy everything just merges together. - People move too fast, jumping, sliding, air strafing, playing for 2+ hours is exausting. - No reasons to play with guns you dont like, no challanges and nothing will get unlocked if you use the guns you dont like. - Unused potentian, I would pay a lot of money to play as Vaas Montenegro for example. - It takes long to get in to a game, it takes even longer to get out, many many forced prolonged screens, I started watching youtube on alt+tab between matches, I dont care whos the player of the game, what animation it has and us 6 standing around while loading did not even start yet.

I still like xdefiant tho, it's just gets boring though and not really any modes I like

The biggest mistake this game makes is trying to be eSports. The gun recoil changes are terrible. Changes like this will make most players get frustrated and quit the game. After all, eSports is only a game for that small group of people.
