the blowgun's accessibility combined with its ability to use cursed and ichor darts made it amazing against the mechs there is an autofire setting that works with the venus magnum so uhh

for me ice staff is a must-get. it makes dealing with any enemy that cant pass throu walls trivial , gives you something of unlimited flight , deals decent damage with really nice speed , and comboes with every stormbow of thorn type weapon. + it is esential for building floating structures. i cannot understand why it is so unloved. also sparkwand is a must have for a true mage early game. good debuff and easyest to get. and lifedrain is great for crowd controll , metagating mages low defence by healtankinng a bit , and for hitting evasive grownd targets throu a wall.

Slime staff doesn't belong anywhere higher than D at the very best 💀 the damage it does is pathetic and you can easily get better things much easier. Also the only time anyone is using this is if they get lucky and it drops right at the beginning. It's outclasses by almost everything and has an atrocious drop rate. crystal vile shard is very useful for instantly destroying annoying wyverns in early hardmode

The phaserblade is actually op on old gen console as you can get it in prehardmode. Idk how much damage it does tho cus I haven't played old gen in ages

Your ranking of the combat wrench was a bit of a bad take. Like, the ability to pierce is HUGE on a boomerang. Not only does it guarantee two hits on basic enemies, effectively doubling its damage per use when its damage is already better than the majority (if not entirety, I can’t quite recall) of pre-hardmode boomerangs, but it also singlehandedly makes wall of flesh possible on boomerang-only runs.

I had no idea anyone actually disliked the QB shotgun. Like, sure, it’s situational, but it’s VERY good against big bosses, especially those with a lot of segments. It’s especially good against wall of flesh if you use meteor bullets.

The ice rod isn’t even a weapon. It’s literally just a building tool.

I don't know what the community's view on the Flare Gun is, but I know it's certainly helpful for me in the early game! It may not deal a lot of damage, but being able to ignite swarms of enemies is pretty dang helpful imo!

4:25 in all seriousness though, the copper shortsword isnt a bad weapon. it's fast attack speed and ability to aim it in any direction makes it really good for killing singular targets. though it gets outclassed other swords almost immediately, like the cactus sword. solid B tier for me!

I am surprised that people really consider crystal vile shard a BAD weapon. Like, WTF?! It is a must-have when you play as a mage. It is useful even when I was in the master mode FTW world. Let me say it in this way: Few weapons that can go through the block can be considered bad.

copper shortsword is definetly good and better on mobile due to auto swing

the hardmode phaseblade use to be better as you were able to get it in 1.2 (arch demons dropped the crystals)
