The soil pressure will push the boards out very quickly. You’ll need to hammer some stakes into the ground on the outside to prevent that from happening. Since this video is a few years old, you know this by now, but for people planning it should help.

My husband and I will be building the same one in the coming weeks before we can plant. Funny enough, for the exact same reason. The deer like our tomatoes, beets, and carrots 😂 Thank you for this share

I wasn’t able to follow what you were describing about the hinge. If you get a chance, could you make another video showing the process of putting the cow in and taking her out? Or if the opening mechanism. Thanks!

Thank you so much!!! I have this exact trailer. Bought it from this older lady/neighbor back in 2011 thinking it’ll be a fun camping trailer for my family. Today I have 3 kids <4yo and we love camping. I needed an idea of how to enclose the walls and floor!!!! You’re the man!!!

Great job Dirt Diary...your project looks fantastic! No Ph.D. in Carpenter Shopology required; just a touch of "vision" together with basic tools and materials. That is an esthetically appealing improvement to your landscaping. It shows you care.

Since you added the wood, did it cut down on trailer rattle, and made it ride more smoothly?

I wanted to do this, but once its time to replace the fence, which will come, they will have to tear the bed apart trying to change those fence pickets. I think it might be better to space it from the fence a bit, but I dont like the idea of spacing , just doesnt look nice, still debating different ideas.

This is the best, simple cost effective design I've been able to find. I think I'm going to use your method just with smaller openings in the fence, at least at the bottom. Take care!

I got as far as the point where you used CABLE TIES and then quit. Plastic cable ties may well be "fast and easy" to install, but they also fail within a year in the sun. I use them each year to reattach my "Beware of dog" lightweight aluminum signs to my gates, and each year several cable ties break on their own (no weight, no tension, no stress). NEVER use cable ties in a fencing application!
@dirtdiary31623 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. I don’t use them anymore either. Thanks for the comment.
