Great video! It’s impressive how these old signals have survived for 64 years, you’ll never get any modern equipment lasting that long.
@trainman758Ай бұрын
Thanks! It’s very impressive how long the signals have lasted for!
@freebrickproductionsАй бұрын
I could imagine some modern signals lasting that long, but they haven't exactly had 64 years to prove it like these signals have. :)

Awesome vid! The gates are super cool and I especially love the old marked lights. It’s a shame these are the last example of these gates in Australia though, at least they aren’t shrouded away on a seldom used grain line!

Nice! Although not the most spectacular equipment apart from the bells it's a pretty good setup. The second pair of lights as well as the median strip are interesting

Great video and crossing! Love the GS Type 1 e-bells there! The LED and incandescent mix on the closer gated signal's a bit strange. Wonder why that happened?
@trainman7585 ай бұрын
Thanks! Not sure how the crossing ended up with such a mix of equipment.
@HybridBell5 ай бұрын
This was a trial crossing for many of the equipment. The type 1’s were installed in late 1998 as a first ever trial in Melbourne. Similar story for the unique branded lights in later years

Cool video. Funny how the driver in the first activation moves past the stop marker right up to the gate and rushes past as soon as the gate is high enough for their car to fit under.

Well done! Just a question, where is the vintage NSW looking crossing in your pfp located?
@trainman7587 ай бұрын
Thanks! The picture is taken at Army Rd Singleton however the classic signals seen in that 2007 photo are no longer there and newer signals are now in their place.

If old mate in the grey ute ever comes to SA, he needs wait until the red lights stop before racing off as a lot of our crossing lights have red light and speed cameras.
