Level Crossing, Kensington, Victoria, Australia (General Signals Type 1 e-bells)

This is the Macaulay Rd level crossing at Kensington.
This crossing has quite a variety of equipment. The western gated signal has a McKenzie & Holland base, Safetran gate mechanism, a wishbone gate with Artcraft gate lights, McKenzie & Holland crossarms, 3 Westinghouse incandescent lights with 1 Western Cullen Hayes first generation LED inside of a Westinghouse frame and a General Signals Type 1 e-bell.
The western gateless signal has an unmarked base, a Westinghouse crossarm and LED lights.
The eastern gated signal has a McKenzie & Holland base, a Safetran gate mechanism, a wishbone gate with Artcraft gate lights, McKenzie & Holland crossarms, Alstom LED lights and Westinghouse incandescent lights and a General Signals type 1 e-bell.
The eastern gateless signal has an unmarked base, a McKenzie & Holland crossarm and Westinghouse incandescent lights.

Cool video. Funny how the driver in the first activation moves past the stop marker right up to the gate and rushes past as soon as the gate is high enough for their car to fit under.

Great video and crossing! Love the GS Type 1 e-bells there! The LED and incandescent mix on the closer gated signal's a bit strange. Wonder why that happened?

This was a trial crossing for many of the equipment. The type 1’s were installed in late 1998 as a first ever trial in Melbourne. Similar story for the unique branded lights in later years
