Yes.there are deer everywhere in this area. I use to live just south of Atlanta in a town called Newnan. I think I told you the first time we chatted that I visited Belfast along with much of Ireland I 2017. I was always a news junky and use to read about the IRA bombings etc.. and done the so called black taxi tour while in Belfast. Very interesting to me. Anyway, take care.
@TomMcCleanКүн бұрын
Hi again Jack. Of course there are two types of Black Taxi tours. On one side you will get the Republican Nationalist black taxi viewpoint and on the other side you will get the Unionist Loyalist viewpoint. It all depends on which taxi tour you do. lol

The artwork at Lislea, Tom, is mainly the map plan of Belfast harbour area which the artist has seen as two basic shapes of the human head - basically the east and west sides. It's very clever! I have to say that I'm not a great fan of street/wall art - in most (but not all) cases, I think it cheapens rather than lifts an area. I'm not denigrating the artists, as most of the work is actually very, very good; but I'm thinking there is far too much of it, and a lot of it in places where it just shouln't be, especially the suburbs. However, I'm probably being a bit over-critical. I can't help wondering what the majority of particularly local people think about it all. There's a fine line between graffiti and talented artwork - depending on where it's located. or am I wrong? It's good that you film it all, otherwise we wouldn't get to see it. Good job my friend. I was just looking at what I think is a great "memorial" (if you think in those terms), in Castlereagh Street - just round the corner from Albertbridge Rd and next to the XOXO Club. It's a mural on the named men who lived in this little area, their ages and their work in H&W. It really is a social document worth mentioning.
@TomMcCleanКүн бұрын
Many thanks for that map recognition Reg. I take your point about the out of place street art. That Castlereagh Street memorial sounds good. I'm surprised I haven't already covered this. Oh dear.

Excellent - such talented artists! Thanks for sharing these pieces with us Tom. I’m looking forward to seeing these "in person" 👏 PS: Have you seen the latest from Bangor’s Jossiepops? Hey thanks Bernadette! I didn't know about these extra pieces by Jossiepops! There are so many good pieces of street art all over the place. It's very difficult to keep track on all the comings and goings. Are these new Jpops pieces in Belfast of Bangor?

@@TomMcClean Hi Tom. Indeed there is so much talent to see - thanks for all that you share.
