I am sorry for my hasty reaction of you destroying the cursed book but I am a biased person who can make any character in a game broken with enough time. However please reconsider to not destroy the creepy book and read it as you will not regret it once act 3 comes around.

No, I play on explorer mode and it doesn't allow multiclass

@GothyCheeto oooh I've never played explorer mode but I understand why people need to but it is still an option to multi class if you change you difficulty and level up or smth you can still multiclass then make it explorer again you have a multiclass

Also tieflings have night vision and you just lockpick everything when you lockpicked the chapel you could have gotten in by doing a performance or deception check by just clicking on the door and there was a lever that opened the door to the place where the oil barrel was (right next to the door)

Clerics in D&D *can* speak to their deity, though for most it'd probably be less having a chat more feelings and impressions. Interesting thing though if you play as Shadowheart origin: you can pray to Shar at several points and she doesn't answer at all - the narration even says this is the usual for Shadowheart... Until you get to the Gauntlet of Shar in Act 2, where Shar starts directly talking to you to manipulate you into killing Nightsong/Aylin! Several of the dialog options imply Shadowheart might not even recognize the voice as Shar at first. It's such a neat detail for her character and makes me wish it were explored with companion Shadowheart. As origin, you're also granted context for *why* her wound flares up in the form of memory fragments, but it doesn't make total sense unless you're familiar with Shadowheart's story and the memories she's had erased - it's genuinely confusing to her whenever it happens!

@GothyCheeto It is fun! I do a paladin oath of vengeance multiclass with the fiend warlock. 5 levels of paladin and 7 levels of warlock. If you like late gam3 build, I do bardadin with six levels of paladin and six levels of bard. Shadowheart as my stealth archer with 5 levels of gloom stalker, 5 levels of assassin, and 2 levels of fighter for action surge Gale as a sorlock for ice king. There are 5 levels of fiend warlock and 7 levels of white draconic sorcerer. For cleric, I do Karlach or Halsin as the light domain for 12 levels. (I play a lot of honor mode and try to maximize damage and the action economy with summons). I do love watching your videos, btw.

If you outright say you dont want to help him this will happen... there is option to convince he is better than cazador and thats when you can convince him not to go on with the ritual.
