Thanks! I will definitely look into your other videos, I found this when looking for proper ways to prevent injury, because I never gave that enough serious thought and I feel like my body is telling me "last warning" kind of signals since a little while ;) I'm a skater as well and grown into a fast-paced and aggressive style. Since a few months I also have this groin pain. Luckily I found a very helpful fysio who could explain very clearly how all those muscles (and nerves) are related to each other and it's often a problem of (miss)balance between them. And he made me realize the importance of body awareness. Because when of my biggest traps is that for me it's very hard to keep myself from going to intense, even if I know "it hurts". But I can "mute" those pain signals quite easily, especially when I'm focused and all my senses already fully directed to this flow. A have a similar problem with climbing but the pitfall there might be more because of the drive to top a challenging problem, or get further than you managed to so far. Such habits are not something to "fix" in a day but rather a slow path working towards a better situation that you can choose to try to follow or let yourself get lost. So I try to apply this in general to my daily life by aiming to do arbitrary things in a more conscious and intentional way as well. The mindset and habits that might grow from this I'm sure will help with those sport activities as well.

Hello, thanks so much for these options! I’m curious about something you said, that if you do nothing (which I’m assuming means resting it and the foot a lot) then it probably won’t heal as well. I likely have a heel bruise/bone bruise and am wondering about where to draw the line between figuring out what activities and exercises are helping it heal versus irritating it and leading to more inflammation that can make it worse. Do you have any thoughts about this?

Awesome! Try to tilt your body towards the box/rail while grinding. Ideally, the line of the railing/edge of the box is in the middle of your body

i purchased the m 12s and still only have the stock liner. did you ever experience foot pain on the outside of your foot? Any liner you would recamend to fix this?

I was hopping around and at the same time I stepped on small and sharp rocks and hurt both my feet. It's been over a day and I'm only able to walk on my toes. I've been icing my heel but how do I treat it?

Oh God. I have a bruised heel right now.. in the middle of the night. I stepped on an electrical cord. The end of it barefoot. Right on the heel. It's been about a week now. Any advice?
@ChiroSpeedskating2 жыл бұрын
Not sure, if this is totaly the same. I'd wait a bit more before really calling it this injury...
@scottykingdavid2 жыл бұрын
@@ChiroSpeedskating it's also red. As compared to the other foot . Can't barely walk on it . And I did the squeeze test . But I also have prior nerve damage on the foot. From a DVT injury. And after stepping on the cord. I definitely bruised it. Just hoping it's not fractured . If I squeeze it it also is painful. So. I guess go see a podiatrist??. If it remains. I do t think it's fractured like in some other videos. But. It's a bit painful and red

Start softly with the rolling of your foot, don't exaggerate it. Also, if pain persists, you might want to have it checked

If one has the luxury of skating on Swiss smooth tarmac it is probably a good option. 😜 I was also looking at your ankle angles closely on your IG post of the Paris skating session 😉 I still hold on to the masters: 125mm doesn't make sense below 40km/h and that you should never use semi speed skates. Looking forward to your upcoming videos about all these.

Hahhahaa, I think you might be on to something good sir! I'm experiencing all of this and working my way op to skate 40km/h (one day though 😅)
