Thank you reaction , we went to the concert of Andre Rieu at Maastricht , right in front of the stage at about 35 meters distance. Just as Emma started singing, an emotional bomb exploded in the square with the song DANCING ON THE STARTS and afterwards VOILA which earned a standing ovation for several minutes. Her beautiful voice touches your soul with the support of the orchestra, an evening to remember for a livetime.

@FelicityEffa I just subscribed! They are brothers (The Brothers Gibb). Barry (in the middle, is the oldest. And yes, I had a crush on him back in the day). The other two (Robin & Maurice) are fraternal twins. They had a younger brother (Andy Gibb) who had a great solo career. He was too young to join his older brothers at that time. The Bee Gees were big in the Black Community back in the day. They wrote ALL their own songs as well as songs for other artists. They started in 1958-2003 so you have decades of songs from them to react to!!! Barry is the only brother still alive today. He will celebrate his 78th birthday AND his 54th Wedding Anniversary to Linda on 9/1/2024! He said he’s very romantic so a lot of their “love songs” were easy to write. He said for the other songs, they just assumed the role of an “actor” and wrote the songs from that standpoint. Please react to more! Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1. YOU JUST DID THIS ONE . This was released in 1979. How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1 More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar.

Dear Felicity, Wordless is that my opinion about your reaction and commentary on Dancing on the stars by Emma... Thanks for your opinion. Thank you for your words. The repeated words: it is good to be alive... That is what it is all about Knowing that Emma had to undergo a painful procedure in the hospital 5 days before this performance. Changing the stoma exit to the stomach, which has to be done every 5 months. Normally under anesthesia, but Emma does not want that because the tube in her throat can affect her vocal cords. This already shows an Emma who knows what she wants.

Thank you for reacting so positively and visibly to another sublime performance by Emma, she well and truly got deep into your heart and emotions, and this was probably her best performance yet, many of us saw Emma's debut with Andre at Maastricht in July last year, singing Voila, and when we considered what she delivered, we regarded it as perfection, and a lot of people agreed with us, 63 Million views on KZbin alone, and huge numbers on other social media sites, she well and truly went viral with that song, and has done incredibly well with many other songs with Andre and with others over the last year, a few weeks ago, Andre presented her with a Diamond Disc award from KZbin, recognising that Voila has exceeded 50 Million views on their channel. Earlier this year, she went to Andre with this new song, never sung before, and Andre saw the huge potential of it, and they have worked their magic on it, and in the process, redefined the definition of perfection, this song raised the bar considerably, and then Emma gave a gold medal performance that went so much higher again, with this new song, she showed how much she has learned over this incredible year by working with the best, and by putting what she's learnt into her performances, and this performance was just wonderful, and the vast majority of listeners were emotional before she sang a word, after those emotional and deep opening words from Andre and Emma, she had everyone in the palm of her hand, and then she went into full on emotional song delivery mode, on several occasions, you can see her eyes change, her lips curl, and she delivers a audible explosion that devastates everything around her, as she goes into full on belter mode, and that's before she delivers those incredible powerful top notes at the end, I still can't fully understand how she manages to deliver such powerful and sustained notes from that tiny frame, but she well and truly does exactly that, very much aided and supported by Andre and the orchestra, who build the song to that wonderful climax with the key change and those incredible top notes. Emma has also matured over the last 12 months, I can't remember another guest star who has appeared at interviews with Andre on so many occasions, being fluent in 3 languages, Dutch, German and English is a huge help in that respect, Emma comes across incredibly well in interviews, and has clearly impressed Andre with the way she has become a much loved member of the JSO, and her age is no hurdle, she has a maturity that goes so far beyond her years, and it's very evident that she is very close to Andre, Pierre, (his son, who is closely involved in the day to day management of the organisation) and many of the JSO extended family. Dancing on the stars has only been on KZbin for a month, it's now gone to close on 5 Million views, and has been trending on KZbin on several occasions, and I won't be surprised if the viewing figures are higher than the figures for Voila this time next year. The writer of this song, TJ Oosterhuis, was also closely involved with Emma in the writing of her first single, released nearly 2 years ago, LAAT MIJ EEN VLINDER ZIJN , let me be a butterfly kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJTbkqFvh5qmaqc It was written for her, and expressed Emma's deep and desperate desire and longing to be free of the limitations and restrictions that are an inescapable part of her every day life as a result of gastroparesis, she wants to live a normal life, without fear or restrictions, and it's so evident in the video between 2:02 and 2:40, she sings 'If only for a day, or even for a count of 10, I want to live life as another', the ache to be able to get away from the daily limits and ties to the feeding pumps and the regime they impose on her, and the mental and physical pain and limitations that they bring. As she sings those words, her eyes close, she shakes her head slowly from side to side, and then her head goes down, and she becomes silent, as she thinks about the issues of her life, and then, she has to face the reality that for now, there is no escape, no way out, her disease has no cure at present, so as she realises that she has to find another solution, she determines that she is NOT going to let this disease define her life, she is NOT going to allow it to hold her back, she IS going to rise above the issues that are standing in her way, and find a way to achieve her goal of being a singer, regardless of those issues. Her head comes up, she rises and sings an even higher note, and makes it clear that she is going to rise like the butterfly of her dream, and soar into the skies. That dream started to become reality the first time she walked out onto Andre's stage in Maastricht to sing the new arrangement of Voila, and at the end of it as she punched the air in triumph after singing that glorious top note, her cheeky smile said that she knew she had just nailed the performance of her life, but even then, the 15 year old girl looked at her mentor, Andre, threw her arms wide and she effectively said without words, 'How was that?' Andre's eyes, his smile, the hug, the kiss, the one word from the Maestro, 'Fantastic', the standing ovation that lasted a minute, Andre calling her back on stage to acknowledge the continuing applause, they all said so clearly, she's indeed done exactly what he knew she could. Andre had not only changed Voila, by slowing it down, changing the tempo, adding the key change and the repeat of the third verse, it all gave Emma the time and space she needed to let her bring out her own deep emotions into the song, but at the same time, Andre used his 50 years of showman's experience to help Emma make the transition he knew she was ready for, physically, she's still tiny, but mentally, she grew and became someone very different that night, Andre has describes her as a 'podium beest' a stage beast, and on several occasions, we've seen it, she's the smallest one on the stage, but she managed by sheer power of her personality and performance to absolutely dominate the stage, and everyone within earshot. Andre's gentle influence meant that the good girl singer became the New Emma, as she walked out onto Andre's stage, the butterfly of her dream emerged from the chrysalis in which it had matured, and the butterfly spread it's wings and soared, and mentally, she went with it, and in that moment, she grew into the beautiful, strong, powerful, serene, composed, competent, driven and dedicated young woman that Andre knew was ready to emerge, her star rose, and shone bright in the sky, and she gave the performance of her life. it was the start of her dream from her single becoming her reality, and now, this year, 12 months later, with Dancing on the Stars, she has risen even higher, and shown so clearly that she is very much up for any challenge, and is ready to shine so clearly as the mega star that has emerged. I will close with my normal appeal to everyone reading or listening to this channel, Emma deserves and needs as much support as possible, her foundation, which she set up with the money she received as the winner of Ministars in 2023, is working on their objective to help find better treatments, or even possibly a cure for this awful disease, her foundation is almost unique in terms of the work they are doing, there's been very little research into what is a devastating illness, the effects on the sufferers are huge, and her situation hasn't changed since that first appearance with Andre last July, she is still tied to her two external feeding pumps for 22 hours a day, and I know from recent social media posts, she finds that incredibly hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre. Emma posted some heartbreaking photos and comments from her holiday in Portugal a few days ago, even then, at a time when the family were relaxing and enjoying a break away from their normal lives, Emma has no relief, no escape from the mental and physical pain of having to live with the numbing discipline of the 22 hours every day with the pumps attached to her, and she never talks about the physical pain that so often is a side effect of the failure of her stomach to properly process the contents. . Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and still requires her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure. Please also be very careful if you post or respond to anything from Emma on social media, her increased visibility has resulted in significant numbers of bad actors creating fake accounts, and looking for money to fund 'special operations', or the like, the ONLY valid web site that supports Emma and others like her is the gastrostars site, anything else is fake and fraudulent, and beneath contempt, please report them. One of the main people in Gastrostars is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in treating gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.

Glad to see you reacting to Forestella again! They really bowled me over the first time I heard them and then I found this recording..which just blew my mind because as a longtime Queen fan, I now prefer this version. …so does my husband. I am now 18 months late a lifelong Forestella fan. I have watched just about everything they’ve performed…including how they were formed and behind the scenes videos, audios, and like you I was so angry that I’d not heard of them before! They only exist on the internet…I see nothing of them anywhere else in my country. Just total silence. I own all their albums on cd. In 2024 many of their videos have had a huge boost in viewing numbers which is very reassuring to know that so many around the world are loving them too. They deserve to be recognised for all the joy and happiness they bring with their amazing covers of old favourites and also more recent ones and also the few originals they’ve released as well.

Great reaction. That song is the original song. It's an instrumental piece Yamandu wrote to pay homage to another great Brazilian 7-string guitar player Raphael Rabello. Yamandu is also a 7-string guitar player who's considered one of the greatest of our time. He travels the world showing his art, playing with orchestras, jazz festivals etc. He has a long career and started playing at an early age. His style is difficult to define because he mixes regional South American styles with Brazilian music, Jazz, even Russian influences and pretty much anything in between.

Never been here before. Great job. Kudos for: Using the remastered HD version, NOT sipping water during the reaction (one of my pet peeves with reactors) and feeling the emotion pouring out of his soul through the guitar to your soul. Many times, younger folks won't feel it as deeply as those of us who were alive when this song came out do. It hits me different now at 59, than it did at 14 when I first heard it, moreso with the outro guitar highlight. (I choose not to call it a solo, because the band never stops playing behind him, but supports him, sometimes gently, sometimes in force, with the drums introducing the disco ball.) As far as suggestions, I'll let others handle Floyd, But I would take a deep dive into the popular songs/bands from the 1970s. Especially the Eagles, E.L.O., Chicago, Jackson Browne, etc.

Thanks for your fantastic reaction to Forestella again! This is the greatest masterpiece of Queen, Forestella made a grand tribute to the song. If you knew the original song well, you could be even more surprised, I think. Please check the original song, with 1.8 billion views. There is a movie under the same title. Maybe you heard this song somewhere like commercial BGM, just not recognizing. Forestella began to be known to the world with their Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake rendition competition show. (To see their very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody, watch Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel). TBH I like Forestella's version more than the original even I was a big fan of this song.. Forestella always amazed me with something unexpected. Try their Shape of you in English, Spanish and African Zulu. I think you would know the song as it's very famous, you would see their twist more easily.

It might be fun to progress through the various presentations of Bohemian Rhapsody in order....the original Queen version, Pentatonix, the live audience only crowd sing at (if I remember right) a Green Day concert. This version was technically perfect, but i think it highlighted Forestella's skills above the soul of the song itself. If I might offer a suggestion for a truly uplifting performance, might I offer (the organizer of global performances) Playing For Change presenting "Peace Train," which includes the original songwriter Cat Stevens. I promise you, it will make your soul rise and rejoice in that display of global unity. Stay well and best wishes. 😇🙏🌹☺️ .
