From Japan, nice to meet you. The piece Miyako ( guitar/keyboard ) played as an introduction is a piano etude OP10/No12, known as "Revolutionary Etude" by Chopin. To understand the meaning of the lyrics of Swan Song, some knowledge of history is necessary. In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, leading to a revolution known as the "November Revolution," which ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented Etude OP10, No. 12 in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, named it the "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake," based on the historical background of "Etude de la Revolution. "SwanSong" is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.

These women wear their femininity proudly but in gowns and heels turn into metal goddesses on stage when they perform. They are an insanely talented group of musicians who play mostly "metal" but you will never be disappointed by any LIVE performance. WOW...that is the usual first time reaction to these musicians!!!!!

This is just one of their masterpiece songs. Mikayo, the one playing piano and guitar started playing piano at age 3, guitar at age 18. Asami, the vocalist, before being in Lovebites was an R&B singer. Miho, the bassist, and Haruna, tbe drummer, are the founders of the band. Miho left the band in 2021 and was replaced with Fami. @@FelicityEffa Based on your "about" page saying you are Nigerian, I looked in Wikipedia that say the "national languages" in Nigeria are Hausa, Igbo & Yoruba so I use a machine translator (Mate) to translate to those languages. I hope they are accurate enough to convey understanding.
