This thing hangs Blender 4.2

On Blender 4.2.2 and all I'm seeing is black. I don't get any edge coloration when using Dot Product.

idk why but doing this just crashes my blender, not cause of my pc , but for some reason i cant understand

i cant find dot product

I was lost at preview. ctrl + shift+ click

hey this doesnt seem to work at all. cant tell if im doing something differently or if its just broken on 4.0 i have the normal of the geometry node and normal on the bevel node into a vector math node set to dot product which goes into a principled BSDF node connected to the material output. im on cycles and in rendered mode and there are no black edges. any idea why?

Doesn't work for me. :( The texture appears across the entire object, not the edges, doesn't matter what parameters I change, they have no effect. I've been using Blender for 7 years... not ONCE have I found a tutorial that works like shown, I'm so tired of this. 😪
