It's not a feeling, I know met with the actual KOP FAMILY DESCENDENTS AND THEY STATED " THE MIKMAQ TRIED TO FORCE THEM TO SAY THEY ARE BEOTHUK MIKMAQ." I FILMED THEM STATE " THEY HATE WHAT THE MIKMAQ DID AND THE FRANK SPECK STORY IS CULTURAL MISAPPROPRIATION DISINFORMATION MISAPPROPRIATION; KOP YELLED" I AM CHIPPEWA ". THE KOP FAMILY OF SANTU ARE CHIPPEWA AND DID NOT LIVE WITH BEOTHUK FIRST NATION RED INDIAN LAKE NEWFOUNDLAND LABRADOR; THE ANISHANAWBEE CHIPPEWA HAVE A RED INDIAN LAKE IN USA AND RECENTLY REMOVE THE WORD INDIAN ; THE KOP FAMILY STILL RESIDE IN NEW ENGLAND TO THIS DAY IN THE STATE THAT THIS WAX RECORDING 1910 WAS RECORDED; NOT ONE OF THE WORDS OF THIS SONG IS BEOTHUK LANGUAGE. FRANK SPECK STATED HE HAD DIFFICULTY UNDERSTANDING SANTU KOP- TONEY; THE KOP FAMILY DO NOT WANT TO BE CALLED BEOTHUK AND THEY DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUE THE MIKMAQ FOR USING THEM AND DESTROYING THEM AS CHIPPEWA ANISHANAWBEE PEOPLE . I KNOW THE KOP FAMILY AND WE ARE VERY VERY GOOD FRIENDS.

The paternal side named KOP came forth and proved she is not Beothuk. She is half mikmaq and half Chippewa and her father Kop was european with Chippewa and did not live with Beothuk of Newfoundland Labrador Red Indian Lake. I spoke with the Kop descendents and they stated the mikmaq tried to force then to say they are Beothuk mikmaq when they are Chippewa.

Good beginning (musical idea, orchestration...). Adding a 2nd part of the main theme or a theme B would be necessary in my opinion (modulating) for avoiding turn around🙂

A beautiful ending to this wonderful concept album. I love concept albums - when properly presented, they show the genius in the creator of the work. I love how you use words from ancient languages for the titles of the pieces. Life has been here for a long time, as far as we can perceive time and music is a universal unifier and I know I am not expressing myself in the best of ways; what I mean to say is that the words of ancient languages for "breathe" and "life" serve this work in a very mindful way. I also noticed that this last opus' length is 4:44 and I don't think that is a coincidence, but I won't get too esoteric here. Those who know the meaning of such numbers will understand. You are a very talented composer. Your work comes from a very rich soul. I wish you the best with this. May it enjoy the recognition it deserves. It's been a pleasure and an honor to be one of the first to experience it. I know I will listen to this over and over again.

Life is a journey filled with surprises, some welcome and some not. Resisting changes only causes more pain. Acceptance, difficult as it may be, is necessary and the only way to survive. Along the way, there is so much beauty, so beautifully presented in this piece. I love the joyful ending.

The emotion totally describes the title - awakening... an awakening of the mind and a heart that is healing. Again, may be not what you intended, but how it speaks to me. Beautiful and joyful. The video of nature blossoming is lovely and befitting.

Falsified information. The real KOP family report this as FRAUD, it's not the Beothuk language . The KOP family stated the Santu father Kop was Chippewa not Beothuk. The Mikmaq lied stated the Authetic KOP descendents

I suggest you address your concerns with the director, film maker and PhD Chris Aylward from Newfoundland who spent 10 years of his life researching and validating both sides of the arguments. My role was to compose the music for the documentary using Santu's Song as the foundation to create themes and variations.

Really like the sound of those longing, melancholy strings Tony. This sounds like it should be part of a Ken Burns film on the Native American Experience. What kind of project are you working on here? When you get some time, drop me an email and we'll try to start catching up a bit with one another. Be Well.... Be Creative! J.R.

Sounds very organic in its development. At times, the hexatonic scale & the rhythms used makes it sound like a tango that somehow found itself visiting the Far East! Well Done. 😃🎶 Also saw on FB that your Dad just celebrated his 80th Birthday! The photos look beautiful and your parents' home looks as warm & inviting as I remember it. ✌🏻
