What's Baby Grace Blue doing at the end of the video? I really think it's the umpteenth, irresistible, hilarious joke of David ...

Info : the photographer at the beginning is actually Hedi Slimane, ex creative director of Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and now Celine. David loved his creations.

From stagehands to musicians you have to envy the priceless memories locked in the heads of those that toured with him. Always found myself wondering what it would be like to hangout for a day with the guy. Thanks to uploads like these I no longer have to imagine. I can see it would have been fanfreakingtastic!

You are right! Earl Slick said in an interview the happiest days of his life were all of the times he toured with David Bowie.

Ah this is wonderful to see, all that backstage footage with him clowning about, what a charmer 😅 criminally well-dressed too! Too bad the music is so loud...

Hmmm.. I love David bowie but I would hated to have been in his band ..having to laugh at every joke and stay on his good side ..Maybe it wasn't like that ..just how it comes across.

He was a hard taskmaker, but he also picked people to do what they do, and would just let them do it. He had no qualms about moving on either. I don't think you necessarily had to stay on his good side like that, here they all seem to be pals. Of course he was probably a lot better at this time than when he was younger and more messed up

@@ThinWhiteAxe I agree. 99% of the musicians he worked with, he worked with for many years and they pretty much had only good things to say about his humour, vision, kindness and generosity and some of them such as Carlos and Tony Visconti (bar a brief falling out at one point) eventually became his closest friends. They went through all his ups and downs yet largely all stayed friends. He was a perfectionist but also according to interviews I’ve read with his colleagues always make sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed to ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the studio.

Some.....okay.... many years ago... i had this kind of magnetic flashing toys too.....and also a gift from my loved and missed Dad. AND i did exactly the same things.....incl. try to put it on my teeth.....oh god, that brings back a lot of memories of good times and seeing him, doing that, makes it much more difficult to know that i would not see him again as long as i'm alive.....you are so much missed David.

Thank you again for posting these! Thankfully I got to see David live over 35 times (and most of the tickets were given to me by him directly)! I miss this guy's music and just knowing that he was here on earth the same time I was is cool enough for me...
