what does it sound like on deceleration? at what rpm does engine noise overpower exhaust noise? for my WRX, the Touring CBE is a bit louder on deceleration (no engine load coasting); and at 3500 rpm, the engine drowns out the exhaust, especially under WOT conditions. During regular cruising, as long as the engine doesn't have to dig too hard, the exhaust fades into the rest of the noises (wind and road)

Does is increase fuel consumption after tuning? Thank you.
@seshelbow3362 жыл бұрын
Generally most remaps will be smoother to drive and slightly better on fuel under all normal driving conditions....Hondas generally run pretty rich flat out.....so remapped without increasing boost would probably be slightly better fuel wise. any time you are producing more boost than stock, unless you throw in extra fuel you will run lean......so when you have your foot down and are going faster than your car would stock, you will be using extra fuel.....and when you arent on it you will use slightly less generally. in summary more bhp uses more fuel when using those bhp......but fuel used per bhp produced could be less on a good map. on a long road trip a standard ep3 type R (UK) used virtually the same amount of petrol as a 450bhp turbo ep3 type R (UK) when following each other and accelerating at similar rates and travelling at same speeds. Even if you arent that bothered about power increases, the extra taxes in some countries based on emissions, mean all new cars are mapped with emmissions very much in mind......a good remap will make any car so much smoother to drive. unless you believe the drivel that the likes of Greta Thunberg has been spouting.....I'd recommend remapping any and every car produced since the late 80's. Maps designed to hit emission targets never drive as well as maps made to simply run at correct Air/Fuel ratio and timing.

The Type S delivers luxury and performance. Its by far the best Purchase in I have made to date. Well I mean in all respect I own 2 CRXS, Porsche Macan GTS, and a Supra so I got to say this one is very worthy of its spot as a well rounded performer. I was able to get a hold of my Cousins AMG CL63 V8 6.3 Twin Turbo This CL63 is capable of running 12.8 quarter mile time. I used the V8 C63 as a benchmark to test against the Type S. The Type S does the quarter mile in 13.6 so the difference is a full second. Although this is considerable we added three performance bolt on to the Type S and retested it. We netted a 12.8 quarter mile. Yes folks that is right. We are performing those good solid numbers. Without any tuning of the ECU we are able to achieve that impressive time. So yes the TYPE S has alot more to offer then what it puts down on paper.

Those cars are all in the 80+k range, there's never been a Honda product that's been that high up in the market outside of the NSX. The Type S is competing with the M340i/C43/S4 range, but the performance just isnt comparable. Too heavy for the small power it makes.
