Oh YES ! I know this. My old OLDSMOBILEs did pretty good on gas until ya put you foot in it. We are talking about a '65 Dynamic 88 and two '68 98's. One with a 425 and the other two had the 455's and I could get 13-14 miles per gallon, until...... And we are talking about 5000 lbs four door cars.

I redone a 54 ford just like that one. I couldn't tell but it looks like a Chevy small block under the hood. That is what I put into the old Ford . And yes you are exactly correct on that gotcha hood. 😅😅 Part of my scalp is probably still stuck on the corner of that hood. It was a fun project but I don't think I will get involved in doing another. It definitely was a lot of work

Done it 2 months ago, 1978 gl1000. After market manifolds with 2 Weber downdrafts seemed to run good, fall flat no power. Hand to the pipe, cold and no flavor. Float set wrong on 1 Brand new carb , 20 minutes later pulls strong, front wheel skips on upshifts 1 to 2 on power pulls.. old 4 cylinder Honda motorbikes.yea they go, and the motors stay together a million miles

In '55 the distributor was in the back, Ford didn't move it back to the front until the FE. But this one is a Chevy, along with the whole front end set up.

If it didn’t have that p.o.s. Chevrolet engine in it you wouldn’t have to work on it all the time. Dropped the value down to nothing.

Do you know how long it took him to get that in there? He probably just spent an hour fuxting with it trying his hardest not to have to take shit apart and somehow got hose onto the nipples, this trick is just based off of his recent recent memory of how tf he managed to get it on. And you want him to cut it and put another one on for the sake of the video give the guy a break he just performed a miracle dammit😂
@BareRoseGarage
@BareRoseGarage Күн бұрын
@@nashduff8465 It does take longer than 59 seconds to do it, especially if you are fighting that Weiand offset on this tunnel ram. Can't do it on an FE Ford though.... the two nipples are too close together. I should do a full length video on this trick, because its saved my butt man times. Thanks for watching though.
@BareRoseGarage

I'll do a full length video on this trick on my next one. It does take a bit longer than a minute (all YT allows for this shorts) but a whole lot less then pulling the water pump to get it to line up. Handy trick that's saved my butt a few times.
