Guys, Thanks so much for explaining how to put that switch back together. Mine kinda pinged when I took it apart and I couldn’t figure out how it was meant to go back together, it seemed all very counter intuitive to me. My K5.85M is now back up and running after fitting a new capacitor. 👍👍👏

Did / does your variable speed work in your skid-steer?
@chopone2
@chopone2 Жыл бұрын
I have been sidetracked with many other projects and the case 1530 has just had to wait. Everything is there to make the variable speed work but I don't touch it. I plan to put it all back together this fall and I will check the hydraulics to the variable speed pulley at that time.

Amazing! Simply amazing, you guys are absolutely #1... I have had a problem with my K6.85 and watched all the videos on KZbin. Your video is the only one that solved my problem, like you said, nobody else shows you what to do, properly... Thank you so much, your banter was also very entertaining.

Thank you for this video, I had the same problem to put the switch back in place. My solution was a thin wire around the tap that fits into the bearing. Then I just held the wire tight upwards and reassembled the switch without any problem

I agŕee. This was an attempt to use 2 cameras, one of which later became a chore to get recognized by editing software. In addition to that while attempting the picture in picture format I included some double footage which was subsequently left in, probably because I had spent 3 hours on the effort and was tired of it. This might be helpful to anyone with very limited knowledge of this machine. I have made use of some very good youtube repair videos and remain hopefully that this video will be usefully to someone.

Do you have a video on how to replace the high pressure hose on this machine as I'm having difficulty in detaching the hose from the connection located through the hose reel? The hose is split so I need to replace it.

If you removed the oil suction line from the pump in order to get the oil strainer and magnets out for cleaning then it is possible that suction line to pump o ring is compromized

Hi Wayne, great video. There is one part that has me confused though. At 5:30 you mention the rod is tightened to the piston using a #7. But that rod is just part of a spring that pulls out. If you don’t mind, what do you mean you tightened it? Thanks

You have not fixed this. The problem is that the Spill Valve or Unloader Valve has siezed, perhaps you are in a hard water area. You got close to the problem but you bodged it by unscrewing the Black Pin to force the switch into a closed position. The Pin should be returned to be screwed tight into the top of the Spill Valve. At that point of the video you need to remove the Spill Valve, clean any debris/scale from the barrel it sits in (the same barrel you blew the water from) and also de-scale the Spill Valve and check it is working/moving correctly. To get my Spill Valve out I filled the barrel with WD40 (thin oil) and left it overnight. In the morning I removed the Black Pin (so as not to damage it) and replaced with an 7mm bolt, then carefully rotated the valve until it would pull from the barrel. Replace the black pin and clean as described above or replace. In the UK you can use eSpares e.g. www.espares.co.uk/product/es537916/pressure-washer-spill-valve. (for my Karcher 520M) Now reassemble. The way you fixed it causes the violent start and stop of the washer rather than a progressive start, I don't think it will last long. You may also be at risk having forced the power switch to be on having removed the action of the spill valve. I have no connection with eSpares or Karcher, I just like understanding how to fix stuff.

Did you get it straightened out? I recently bought a 2005 JD 2305 W/345 hrs. It works perfect, except my mid pto won't engage.. I can turn it freely w/my hand. Thanks
@chopone2
@chopone2 3 жыл бұрын
Treylem3 does the rear pto disengage when you select front pto. If one pto works then all parts are working up to the pto range gear. It is possible that the shift mechanism has an issue
@treylem3

@@chopone2 Thanks for the suggestion. The problem turned out to be a gear that was put in backwards by the previous owner. My local JD dealership fixed it for a fair price (I think) and now everything works perfectly. Thanks again !

does the hydraulic fluid that lubes the chain have a cross from side to side? I see there are two fills... just curious. am buying one (1537) and seller says he does not fill one side.... now I worry if there is no cross over that one side is very low on lube... if any in it
