This storm was clearly in the right spot for high moisture content and high instability that help to create a ton of separated + and - charges that need to neutralize each other. And with the negative dark cloud base getting more charge differential with the positive ground than with the positive cloud top, no wonder it will end with a hell of lightning everywhere

This is the BEST lightning video on KZbin. The amount of CGs is absolutely mind blowing. When I first started watching, I automatically assumed this had to be Florida. But after watching, I’d say Greece may have just dethroned the Sunshine State as the lightning capital.
