On November 21 2021 ,around 9:40am, a massive and especially strong thunderstorm developed on the coastline of Netanya, which was manifested in very high rain intensities.
The video begins with the animation of the meteorological service's rain radar, where you can see the development of the storm (red spots) and its slow movement, and continues with my documentation of the event in the north of Netanya where you will see the The heavy rain and also some lightning strikes that hit quite close to me.
This storm hit Netanya for over half an hour and rained enormous amounts of rain during this period of time: 40-50 mm with some extremely intense lightnings and thunders.
The results on the ground - most of the city was severely flooded and many damages were caused to property.
My station in the north of the city measured a rain rate of 190 mm per hour, and according to statistics, an event with such an intensity of rain has a recurrence period of once a decade. The last time a storm like that hit Netanya was at the end of October 2009.
It is recommended to turn up the volume and simply enjoy the special recording (by the way, a subwoofer will be very helpful for enjoyment...)
