I used black plastic thick cable ties to secure this rubber boot. Easier to install than metal one. And also VW service use this same method here in Finland. Good video anyway!

Fyi, a 32" curved fits way better in that space.

Hello Sir, I am on the process of replacing the outer tire rod, passenger side of my 2006 Volkswagen Golf (MK4). Correct me if i am wrong, since I almost made the same mistake. The outer tie rod, you removed, seems to be curving away from the knuckle. But the new one you installed, looks like it was curving towards the knuckle. Would it be possible that you installed the wrong side tie rod end? Please let me know as I have that issue with my part right now. Thank you
