Hello Sir, I am on the process of replacing the outer tire rod, passenger side of my 2006 Volkswagen Golf (MK4). Correct me if i am wrong, since I almost made the same mistake. The outer tie rod, you removed, seems to be curving away from the knuckle. But the new one you installed, looks like it was curving towards the knuckle. Would it be possible that you installed the wrong side tie rod end? Please let me know as I have that issue with my part right now. Thank you

Good spot, yes he has. Tracking will be massively out, but will be fixed when he does go to get it done.

Hello. Just an update, I spoke to FCP Euro about this issue, and it seems that the original is curving away, but on the new updates with the company, they send the new ones curving towards the knuckle. I made my own video explaining it, but I don’t want to hijack this video. So long story short, volkswagen decided to switch the tirerod ends on this model without informing anyone. You would only figure that out if you buy only one side and they will send you the one originally for the other side. Thank you

I used black plastic thick cable ties to secure this rubber boot. Easier to install than metal one. And also VW service use this same method here in Finland. Good video anyway!
