I always underestimated Salasala- anyway, am an old guy! Don't remember wakati tunasoma kama niliwahi kuisikia Salasala! It's not like it wasn't there but seems it's bit irrelevant but now, ANYONE would love to have a place in the neighborhood! In those old days it was just about Upanga, Oysterbay, Mikocheni, Masaki and little bit about Mbezi Beach! Now-a-days, no one talks about Upanga no more- except for people who love to be near the CBD! It's a matter of time before Mikocheni is also forgotten! I bet in less than 20 years, Mbweni will outshine both Oysterbay and Masaki- the best residential neighborhood accelerating into a commercial neighborhood thus losing their original feel- at least the feel people of my age felt in those old days when you would rarely find huge aparment buildings, if they even existed after all!
