In 1976 I flew in to Bauerfield on an Air Pacific BAC1-11 and out again in 1978 on an Air Nauru Boeing 727. In between I flew out and in numerous times on Islanders and a Trislander on visits to other islands in the group. And nearly got wiped out on the runway by a Solair Piper Twin when I was calibrating a radar speed gun with the French and British police.

Flew QF premium economy class from LHR to MEL via DXB...Somewhat dissapointment with the service from LHR/DXB, crew (LHR based), were like robots, main course was served lukewarm, no second offering of wines, etc, no interaction between crew and customers.

Brings back memories of my very first business class flight on EK419 two years ago. I was warned that I'd struggle to adjust back to economy flying, and it's true. I flew my very first First class flight with Emirates last month (see the trip report on my channel) and now i'll struggle to go back to J. :) You can't beat the sound effects of those 777 engines on take-off!
