Brilliant work. Really amazing to see how artists have had to work that much harder to flip samples to be able to clear them in modern times. Some real creativity there.

The saddest part about what lead up to STEEZ’s passing is literally watching the optimism leave his body. Even though I never met him and can’t say precisely what he felt at the time, I feel like any human being would grow resentful if they practically created their own collective, only for someone else’s name to completely overshadow it. The T-Shirts, The Tour, The Deal Joey Signed without STEEZ. I can’t imagine how that must’ve felt for everyone involved with Pro Era at the time. And you can’t blame Joey either because he was just a kid at the time and he was being presented the opportunity of a lifetime.
