Remembering this movie now is now I can remember how this movie sucked let’s face. It was more like just another Josh special than a Christmas special Drake and Josh being accused of a crime. They didn’t commute when there was no proof of it and set up too many plot holes Was more like a drake and Josh special than a Christmas special because this, because I think really big shrimp was a better finale than this, and everything in this movie was cringe. Top to bottom from beginning to end like the party being ruined, not only by thugs, but also cops as well. Why do I think it doesn’t deserve to be timeless class because it’s more like a drake and Josh film even the other Drake and Josh specials were better than this even the flashback of the detectives flashback how his life was scarred still cringed, scarred me for life. How is flashback about the monkey of his childhood scarred me for life it’s not a very good special not even a good Christmas special. It just makes me feel really big shrimp was a better finale for the series than this.

Fun Fact: This almost ended up being a very different film. This special originally began development as a film called "Drake & Josh In Manhattan", The film, which was meant to be released in theaters as a final send-off to the TV series, would've involved the two traveling to New York City for one of Drake's concerts, only to be mistaken for two lookalike wanted criminals and falsely arrested. After being released, the two are forced to help an orphanage as part of their parole, only to face off against the lookalike criminals who are trying to rob the same orphanage. It's believed the project never took off due to a lack of theatrical interest and a high budget, causing the film to be scrapped in favor of "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh". The unused script for "Drake & Josh In Manhattan" was loosely rewritten and reused for the Christmas special.
